Manicure Monday: OPI in Nice Set of Pipes, Scotland Collection 2019

In September 2019, I checked out a nail polish warehouse closest to me that I know of.

I bought two OPI polishes from their most recent collection, Scotland Collection Fall 2019. I already reviewed OPI in Edinburgh-er & Tatties (left). For this post, I will review the polish on the right.
This is OPI in Nice Set of Pipes. Since I did a thorough review of OPI in Next Stop...The Bikini Zone, I will base this on that.
Here's a closer look at the color. The website describes it as "a little dance from the highlands with this playful gray purple nail polish tease from OPI." I don't know if I agree at all. I think it's more bluish purple with more navy than purple.
Here's a closer look at the brush. I love the wide width brush.
I applied OPI Nail Envy in OriginalMadam Glam Gelementary Gel-Like Base Coat, two coats of OPI in Nice Set of Pipes, and then topped all the nails with Essie Good To Go Top Coat.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the brush is wide enough to do three strokes and move onto the next nail. I tend to like brushes with a curve tip. It just seems easier to paint around the cuticles and sides. I didn't have a problem with this particular brush. It isn't curve but has a straight tip. It still was easy to paint around the cuticles and sides. Secondly, I like the packaging. It's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of thick glass. The top is also sturdy. I can feel a tight seal when I open and close. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. It's also easy to hold with one hand. Third, the consistency is creamy and on the medium. It's not too thick that it clumps while painting. It's also not too thin that it runs everywhere. It's a good consistency, and you can take your time with painting without the fear of clumping. With that said, it's easy to use. It goes on smoothly, and there are no streaking and bubbles. Fourth, the color is pretty for fall and winter. Even though I like the color, I don't think it's unique. I purchased this particular color after reading a blog post. She recommended this color because of the pigmentation, and color. I just feel like this is a common color that you can find in a lot of brands. Not only that, I own similar colors. I look in my collection and can find more than one. To be honest, I'm kind of disappointed I went with the blog post. This particular color did not even stand out when I saw it in the store. I changed my mind after reading the post. I should had have gone with my initial reaction. Pigmentation-wise it's pigmented. Two layers were good enough for my skin tone. Lastly. I saw slight shrinkage around the fourth day. It's so slight it's hard to distinguish. You have to look closely to notice it. I look at my nails in daily basis for review purposes. Other than shrinkage, there was no chipping whatsoever. I'm glad I got to try this color. I do own a lot of similar colors but the longevity of this particular color lasts a decent amount of time.

Would repurchase: Maybe.
