Total SkinCare Solutions Rapid Recovery Under Eye Cream

Disclaimer: The product mentioned in this post is given to me to review. I am not affiliated with the company nor getting paid to advertise the product. This post is written with my honest opinion.

I received some samples from Total SkinCare Solutions. If you're like me and have never heard of them, they are a natural skin care line.

"There is nothing to be found in a Total SkinCare product that does not come from nature. Our products stimulate and accelerate the skins natural healing processes because they are made with pure, active ingredients, plant extracts, and blended with the highest quality essential oils.

We believe skin has problems when it is out of balance; our natural products will help balance your skin and restore its radiance. Too often, people are swayed by chemical treatments and costly surgical options instead of opting for natural remedies to cure their skin woes.

For serious skin care, don't discount the power of natural products - they're better for your skin than rough chemical agents and they'll spare you the unnecessary cost and discomfort of multiple cosmetic surgeries. You'll see a marked difference i your skin's tone and complexion within a few short weeks. Our products accomplish this by:

* Encouraging new skin cell growth
* Stimulating collagen and elastin production
* Increasing moisture content in the skin
* Protecting skin from damaging free radicals
* Improving the skin's ability to protect and improve itself"

I took this from their website. They said it better than I ever could!

Resvology Age Corrective Eye Cream

Disclaimer: The product mentioned in this post is given to me to review. I am not affiliated with the company nor getting paid to advertise the product. This post is written with my honest opinion.

I was fortunate to receive an eye cream from Resvology. In all honesty, I received this couple of months ago. When I first received the product, I could not test out the product because I was doing a test experiment for Allure Magazine. Once the experiment was over, I was able to go back to my skincare routine. Now after some time using this product, I can review it. If you want to know more about this brand, you can check out the website and their Facebook page.

Aveeno Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Eye Cream

I've been using Aveeno eye cream end of last year, 2012, and I'm almost to the end of this product. I better review this product before I finish it.

Where to purchase: drugstores, mass merchandiser, and online at aveeno.com
Price: about $17.99 for 0.5 fl oz/ 15mL

Made in Canada

Description from the back: A moisturizing eye cream that works with your unique skin and is clinically shown to
* visibly lift and firm skin around the eyes
* reduce appearance of lines and wrinkles
* visibly reduce dark circles and brighten appearance of eye area
And because it's from Aveeno it's gentle enough for even sensitive skin.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: When I first received this product, I was excited to try an eye cream to prevent future aging. Before I talk about the product, let's talk about the packaging. I want to apologize for not taking many pictures of this product. I also want to apologize for not the greatest quality first picture. I took it long time ago before using this product. I honestly think I take better pictures now.

Now for the packaging... I'm not too sure if this is an older version of the eye cream. On the box, it says "NEW!" but the picture from the Aveeno website is different. So I really cannot say. If this is a newer version, I actually like the packaging. It reminds me of a lotion in a smaller version, mini-size. It's so cute and I hardly see eye creams in a pump container. Most eye creams come in a tube or a jar. I tend to like my eye creams in a tube and now pump container. It's just sanitary safe. I also like that we have full control of the amount the product pumps. Sometimes the pump squeezes a certain amount which you have no control over. It can pump more or less of what you need. There is no issue with this product.

Now for the scent... It smells like most Aveeno products, sweet and fruity. If you don't like fruity scents, you don't have to worry. You hardly can smell the product while using it on your eyes.
Here's a swatch of the eye cream. It's on the thicker consistency with a slight yellow tone.

Now for my opinion.... This eye cream is definitely meant for people who want to prevent aging around the skin. For that reason, the consistency is thick and it moisturizes the area. If you have oily lids, it can be on the heavy side. If you have dry lids and under eyes, it will hydrate it. I wouldn't say it's the most moisturizing product out there, but it's decent. I also like that it's easy to apply and sinks into your skin. It's very quick and you do not have to wait a long time for it to absorb. Like I said, it's good to prevent aging. If you already have wrinkles and dark circle, this product isn't for you. I have wrinkles or my co-worker would say I have a lot of laugh lines *sigh* and slight dark circle. After using this product, I have not noticed any difference or any improvements.

Pros:
* Aveeno; a brand that uses natural ingredients.
* Cute packaging; a mini-size lotion.
* Comes in a pump.
* Full control of the amount it pumps.
* Sanitary safe.
* Sweet, fruity scent.
* Scent isn't noticeable on the eyes.
* Easy application.
* Absorbs quickly.
* Prevents future aging and dark circles.

Cons:
* If you have oily lids, can be on the heavy side.
* Will not improve already seen wrinkles and dark circle.

Would repurchase: No.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Eye Illuminator and Giveaway

Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone is having a great three day weekend. :)

Aveeno was kind enough to send me the newest product, Positively Radiant Eye Illuminator.
I used it for some time now and think it's a great time to review this product.
Product Review: Aveeno Positively Radiant Eye Illuminator

Where can you purchase this: drugstore, mass retailer, and online at Aveeno.com
Price: $14.99 for 0.5 fl oz./ 15 mL

Made in Canada

Description on the back: Dark circles and dryness around the eyes are key factors that affect your natural radiance. Aveeno Positively Radiant Eye Illuminator contains an exclusive combination of Active Naturals Total Soy Complex boosted with tone-evening vitamin B3 and light-diffusing technology to rejuvenate your natural radiance and help you look fresh and luminous.
Ingredients:
My thoughts: When I first received this, I was excited. I need all the help I can get to improve my dark circles and wrinkles. Also was excited because Aveeno is a trusted brand of mine. Having a product of a mixture of both was nice! The first thing I noticed about the product is how cute the color of the packaging is, as well as, how unique the shape is.
The next thing I did is smell the product. It's a ritual with me. :X It's hard to explain the smell, but it's floral. The first thing it reminded me was the smell of a floral liquid hand soap. It's a decent smell and I actually liked it a lot! The smell disappears within a minute or two after applying it.

Before I talk about the brush, I need to explain how to use the product.
Here's the instruction how to use the product. You squeeze the product out of the tube onto the brush. Then you can apply the brush onto the desired spot.

Now I can talk about the brush which I had mixed feelings on. I think it's cool there's a brush.
It's soft and gentle to the skin. It's a pretty decent brush. The hairs do not spread out after you use it.
When you squeeze the product and I have noticed this with a lot of products with brushes. They squeeze out to one side of the brush instead overall. I am not too sure why. :/ The thing is you need to be careful how you squeeze the product, because you can squeeze out too much which can be a waste. I don't know if you can see in the picture, but I tried to show where the product squeezed out from. The bad thing about the product and it can be my anti self isn't the most sanitary. After the first usage and using the brush on your skin, the brush will get moisture from the product. As times goes on, it can build bacteria. You can clean your brush in a weekly basis, but would most people do that? I don't know. :/ Just a mixed feeling about this product. Even with that knowledge, I still use it. :X

Since I've been using this for two weeks, I noticed a slight improvement. I feel that my wrinkles on my inner, bottom eyes has gotten better. When it comes to puffiness, I cannot say since I don't have puffiness. The darker circle has gotten better as well. Overall, I'm happy with the two weeks progress.

Pros:
* Aveeno; a trusted brand.
* Cute packaging and color.
* Good brush.
* Floral smell; it smells nice.
* Noticed slight improvements on the wrinkles.
* Noticed slight improvements on the dark circles.

Cons:
* Comes with a brush; not the most sanitary safe.
* The product is squeeze onto one side of the brush.
* You can squeeze too much.

Would I repurchase: Yes.
