Sigma F80 Kabuki Brush

I recently received the Sigma F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush. Before I review the brush, I am affiliated with Sigma. You do not have to click on the link, but it would be nice. :) I believe the click will help me have a giveaway on my blog, but I am not too sure on that. Even though I am reviewing this brush, I am not getting paid in any way.
The brush came in a red bag. The bag will be useful in the future to carry other things or to use it to gift presents. Now for the review...
Product Review: Sigma F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki

Where can you purchase this: Sigma website
Price: $16

Made in USA

Information on the website: This exclusive flat top synthetic kabuki was designed to deliver a flawless makeup application. The Sigma Makeup F80 is a buffer brush that can be used to blend powder or liquid products. The short and dense bristles make it easy to buff your liquid foundation. The long handle adds comfort to your makeup application. The synthetic fibers are ideal to be used with liquid products and can be easily cleaned. Made of Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.
My thoughts: I was really excited to receive this. I heard so many good reviews on this brush, and it intrigued my interest. The first thing I did is check to see how sturdy the brush was, as well as, the hair. By touch, the brush hair was so soft. The hair was also very dense which is great for buffering onto the skin. The ferrule is very well made. It's sturdy and doesn't move.
The next thing I did is thoroughly clean the brush. I was pretty impressed there was no bleeding and shedding of the hair. It took about a day to dry which isn't bad.

Now that the brush was clean, I was really excited to try this brush. I used it to buffer in my mineral powder I was using at the moment. It was extremely soft on the skin. I have to say one of the most softest brush I have ever used! It buffered the powder well. Now I can see why people love this brush. I'm in love with it myself and am intrigued to try other brushes from Sigma!!!

* Sturdy brush.
* Sturdy ferrule.
* Dense hair.
* Soft hair.
* Buffers well.

* None that I can think of. :)

Would I repurchase: Yes, but I hope not any time soon.

Beautylish Spring Trend 2011 Event

This past Tuesday, March 22nd, I went to another Beautylish Event. The last time it was held at Los Angles, the hotel next to Staples Center. This time it was held at the W Hotel in Westwood. Tammy from Lazy Beautiful and I went together. We ended up meeting Amy from AmyNaree in the elevator. The first thing we did was go for the food. I think all of us were hungry! :P
Unfortunately, I was so busy getting food I forgot to take a picture of the cheese and crackers. I did take pictures of the cupcakes. Isn't the purple flower gorgeous?
Here's a close-up picture of the cupcakes. The chocolate one was good! I had two of them. Amy said the vanilla one was good too, but I decided to stick with my chocolate. :P
Then we got the specialty drink, Beautylish. It's actually my second time having it. I had the first one at the Los Angeles event where Victoria recommended it. I still remember that. :)

After eating and mingling with people, Tammy and Amy wanted another drink. That's where we met Dorothy, Omar, and Chaz Dean (the creator of WEN products). He's a well known hairstylist and colorist who came out with his own line without harsh chemicals and detergent.
We took pictures with Chaz. Yes, I starred my face. :P From left to right, Amy, Chaz Dean, myself, Tammy, and Victoria from Beautylish.

Then we went inside to get our hair and makeup done.
The three sponsors who did the hair and makeup were hourglass (lips), Clinique (eye makeup), and Pureology (hair). While we were waiting to get our hair done, that's where we ran into Diana from PaperDollRevenge.
Here's a picture of them after they got their hair done. They all got their hair tied in the back. I thought they all looked great! :)

After our hair, we went to the Clinique section to get our makeup done.
I'm not too sure whose hand that is on the left. :/ Anyways, they did an amazing job!
Here are the people who worked for the Clinique. Loey (probably spelling his name wrong), the guy in the middle, did my makeup. I got a lot of compliments afterwards. :)
Here's an open eye picture of my eye makeup. I try to get the closed eye but it was out of focus.

It was an exciting event and I had a blast! I had great companies; Tammy, Amy, and Diana. As well as, met wonderful people. If that wasn't enough, we came home with a swag bag full of tons of goodies!!!
The bag was huge and heavy!
This was all in the bag. We got stuff from Physicians Formula, Clinique, Pureology, WEN, Urban Decay, and so on. It doesn't stop. I will eventually get to them in the future posts with thorough reviews. :) Beautylish even gave us stuff. How sweet of them! They gave us a t-shirt; the gray rolled up on the right in the picture.
They also gave us a thumb drive for the computer. On the bottle half of the paper are the sponsors.
Here's a close-up of the cute thumb drive.

Thank you Beautylish for hosting a great event!!! :)

Nudecos Toner

A little more than a month ago, Korea Cosmetics had a giveaway on twitter. I was lucky enough to be one of the winners. Most of the winners received their prize in February. For some reason, mine came in the beginning of March. I don't know why mine took longer, but it's all good as long as I received it! :) It's only been couple of weeks but I think it's time to review it.
Product Review: Nudecos Aqua 24-Moist Toner

Where can you purchase this: in Korea or
Price: about $12.50 (14,000 won) for 100 mL

Made in Korea

Information on the back:
* Powerful Ingredients
* Glamorous Skin
* Natural Beautiful Result

Using natural ingredients, Nudecos product's potent and active formulas are easily applied and absorbed.
My thoughts: When I first received this, I was pretty impressed they sent a full sized bottle of Nudecos Toner. On the other hand, I was a little confused they only sent the toner. Being Korean myself, I know both toner and lotion are a set. You kind of need one to use the other.

Mostly being raised in the states, I don't know much about Korean brands unless it's the popular ones like Skin Food, Etude House, Laneige, VOV, Amore, and so on. This is my first time hearing this brand, therefore, I was kind of excited to try this.

The packaging of the container isn't the most attractive or at least I think so. When I think about attractive Korean packaging, I think of VOV or Etude House. This is a very simple design but very classic looking. The one thing I love about the packaging is how sturdy it is! I don't have to worry about breaking the product.
I also love that it comes in a pump. Most toners, Korean and American, come in a bottle with a hole on the top. Another good thing about the pump is that you can actually pump as much as you want. I use one and a half for this toner for my face and neck.

One thing I found interesting about this toner is that when I pump the liquid out, it's an off-white color. Once I use it, it becomes clear. It's not a big deal but I found that interesting.

Most Asian brand toners aren't used the same way as American toners. The American toner is to clean the left-over residue after cleansing your face. Asian brand toners are to soften your skin before the moisturizer. That's why this toner is called Aqua 24-Moist. Both aqua and moist are synonyms in this concept. It is a waste to use a cotton for this step. You just use your hand and pat it on both face and neck area.

After using this for 2 weeks or maybe a little less, my skin has gotten better. I'm not too sure if this is making my skin better or that I stopped using Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate which dried out my skin. It also could be a mixture of both.

* Sturdy.
* Comes in a pump.
* No scent.
* Refreshing and cooling to the skin.
* Not sticky.
* Skin is a little bit softer.
* Hydrates a bit.

* Not a known brand.
* Packaging can be bulky.

Would I repurchase: It'll be hard since I haven't seen this brand around her in Los Angeles.

Crackle Nail Polishes Comparison (OPI, Barry M., China Glaze), Nail Polishes, and Vivite

I already compared OPI nail polish in Black Shatter to Barry M. in Nail Effects. I was fortunate enough to receive two China Glaze Crackle Glaze polishes thanks to Trinh. She sent me two China Glaze Crackle polishes.
The first one from China Glaze is #981 Crushed Candy.
The other is in #979 Cracked Concrete.
I decided not to do the step by step process I did for OPI vs. Barry M. I didn't see a point. Plus they're already next to each other and you can compare through that. I used the same base nail polish so you can see the difference between the shatter/crackle nail polishes. Unfortunately, it's hard to see it from the China Glaze in Crushed Candy. Sorry about that! :(

In conclusion:
* OPI = It cracks less, the crack tends to be thin and long, and you see less under color base.
* Barry M. = It cracks the most, the crack seems to be a big squares/dots, and you see the most under color base.
* China Glaze = It's between OPI and Barry M.

Other than the shatter/crackle nail polishes, I thought I would show some of the nail polishes I hauled. For this post, it's Revlon that I received from My Fit Beauty.
This is #168 Temptress.
This is #229 Demure.
This is in #440 Siren.
This is in #675 All Fired Up.

Thank you Spankedelic and My Fit Beauty!!! :)

Have anyone heard of Vivite Products? I actually have never heard of this brand. I heard it's a popular brand that has been in magazines like InStyle and Glamour.
Here's some information I found:

"Innovative anti-aging technologies are the core of the Vivite skin care system. The line of Glycolic Acid, peptide, and antioxidant-based products are perfect for those with sun damaged and aging skin who want smoother, firmer, and brighter skin without causing skin sensitivity."

This sounds really promising for aging skin, as well as, younger people who are preventing the signs of aging. I would love to try this product to get rid of my sun damages, freckles and sun spots.

Disclaimer: The products mentioned in this post are bought with my own money except for Barry M, China Glaze, and Revlon. I received Barry M and China Glaze polishes as a gift, and Revlon from a giveaway. I am not affiliated with any company nor getting paid to advertise any products. Hello Kitty Bag

After couple of months, I finally figured out what I wanted from CSN Stores. It arrived this week and let me tell you how in love I am with it! :)
Isn't it cute!?!? I got a Hello Kitty Duffel Bag.

I'm going to be honest. When I first saw this online, it kind of looked cheap. For that reason, I had some hesitation but I gave into my temptation (cuteness). It's a lot better quality than I expected. It's also a lot bigger than I expected. The dimension of this duffel bag is 12" height X 18" width X 10" depth.

The quality of the fabric used is really good. It's sturdy, as well as, waterproof-like. It's good on those days when it's raining or at least I think so. The switching is well done too. It's such a good thing my mother was a seamstress. Through her, I learned to look for little things like this.

There's a big  pocket.
It even has Hello Kitty written.

It has a slide pouch you can put through a rolling luggage. How cool is that! It'll be easier to carry if you also use a rolling luggage. This Hello Kitty Duffel Bag comes with a matching Rolling Luggage.

I love how it has a zipper where you can attach a lock. It'll keep your things safe through the trip. The only negative thing I could think of is that it didn't come with a lock! :( I kind of imagine a lock with a cute Hello Kitty on it. Wouldn't that be cute!
The handle is just a simple black on the outside. When you open it up, it has the cute Hello Kitty pattern.

It has a place where you can attach the should strap. It is up to you if you just want to use the handle or the should strap. Who knows you might want to use both! ;)  It also comes with a cute Hello Kitty face. I believe it's suppose to be a name tag. The bow on the face is suppose to be red, but it came out black. I don't know why. :/ You can take off the name tag if you want. It's not the best quality anyways. :X
The should strap has the same Hello Kitty patterns.

The inside has ribbons and it's my favorite color, blue! I love it. :) It also has a pocket on the back of the inside with the same Hello Kitty pattern from the outside.

Overall, I am in love with this Hello Kitty Duffel Bag! It's really cute, blue interior, and greatly well made.

Thank you CSN Stores!!! :)

The Writing's on the Wall... of my Blog... (Meme) and Blog Sale

I've been seeing this tag on a lot of blogs. It really interest me, because you get an idea of who that person is through their writing. How they curve their letters, dot their "i's", and so on. Thanks to Shop N' Chomp for tagging me!

When it comes to writing, I write pretty small. I always wrote in print. It just felt easier for me compared to cursive. In high school, I knew so many girls who wrote small and really neat. It looked like words written from a type writer/keyboard. I thought it was pretty cool! I practiced, which didn't take long, to write small. My letters has always been neat but not that small. Once I learned how to write small, I couldn't write big no matter how hard I tried even to this day. In college especially my English professors, wrote in red and told me to write bigger. They said they needed magnifying glasses to read my words. :X

When it comes to pens, finer the better! It's easier to write small with fine pens. I'm not picky if it is a cheap as long as it's fine. ;)

Growing up one of my hobbies, which isn't now, was collecting cute stationaries. They were so cute that I couldn't use them. I just collected them *sigh*. Now that I'm older, I'm using them as much as I can. The sad thing is I realized everyone is so into internet that people hardly write any notes/letters. It's all about e-mails. :( That's why I enjoy this tag. :)

Here are the questions:
1. What's your name/your blogger name?
2. What's your blog's name/URL?
3. Write "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."
4. Favorite quote?
5. Your favorite song?
6. Your favorite band/singers?
7. Anything else you want to say?
8. Tag three to five other people.

I tagged three people. There were so many people I wanted to tag that it made it hard. I decided to tag the people either I knew for a long time, more than two years, or people I have met in person. :)

Even though I didn't tag you, please join in. It's a fun tag! :)

I decided to have another small blog sale. PLEASE check out my other blog sale post.
