Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

When I was reached out on Instagram if I wanted to try Younique mascara, I didn't have to think twice. I've heard great stuff about this product! If you don't know about Younique, it's about...

I got this from the website. They said it better than I ever could! Unfortunately, Younique products are not sold in stores. You need to purchase through a team member from Younique brand. I'm fortunate to work with a great one, Jamie McIntyre, that I highly recommend!

Lashem Double Trouble Mascara

I was fortunate to receive products from Lashem. I don't know about you guys, but I have always been curious about this brand! The first time I heard about this brand was in a commercial. An actress talking about how her lashes grew using the serum.

Thankfully, I receive the famous Measurable Difference Lash Gel to try. I also received the Double Trouble Mascara and a tote bag. I will review the Measurable Difference Lash Gel in a future post. For this post, I'm going to review Double Trouble Mascara.

Before I review the mascara, let me show you the tote bag. It's a sturdy, cloth bag with ropes as a handle. The handle reminds me of the "I'm NOT A Plastic bag" bag. Do you remember that bag or am I that old? :X If you can tell, I really like the handle. :)

Product Review: Lashem Double Trouble Mascara

Definition on the back: Double Trouble Mascara adds definition & intense dimension for seductive, sultry eyes. One end contains flexible fibers to give you luscious, voluptuous lashes. The other end gives you longer, fuller lashes. Double Trouble Mascara creates the illusion of bigger, bolder, beautiful lashes that go the distance.
Ingredients:

Thoughts: To be honest, I wasn't too sure what to expect. I have never heard of this mascara. The first thing I did is read the description from the box. After reading the description, I was extremely excited! The mascara especially the Lengthening has fibers. One thing I love about Asian mascaras is that they have fibers. You can see the fibers on the wand, as well as, seeing your lashes lengthen as you use the mascara. I was hoping the same for this mascara!

The mascara has two ends.

One end of the mascara is the Volumizing; gives you luscious, voluptuous lashes. This is the first wand you use in the step or you can use it alone. You don't have to use both wands together. It is all up to you. I prefer to use both, but that's me. The first couple of times I used this wand it was on the dry side. I'm not too sure why but after couple of weeks, the wand got moist. It was easier to use when the wand was moist. When it comes to this wand, I did not notice much on my lashes. I think it'll be more noticeable on people with thin lashes especially light hairs.

The other end of the mascara is Lengthening; gives you longer, fuller lashes. This one has short, thin fibers. I can see it lengthening your lashes, but not by much. I think if they had more fibers, you can see the lashes grow. Nevertheless, it still does its job. I also noticed it's very moist. I'm not too sure why compared to the Volumizing. Since it's so moist, it weighed my Asian lashes down. If I had naturally curly lashes, it would have kept my lashes up. Unfortunately, I was born with straight thick lashes. For that reason, I wish they would make it waterproof. It'll be so much better for people like me.

Now for how the mascara looked on me. I used both wands on my lashes.

I noticed my lashes are a bit longer and thicker. I really like how black the mascara was. That definitely was a plus! :)

Pros:
* Contains fibers.
* Gets volume and length at the same time.
* Do not have to use both wands.
* Darkens the lashes black.
* Great for people with naturally curly lashes.

Cons:
* Volumizing was dry.
* Lengthening was moist.
* Holds my lashes down.

Would repurchase: No, unless they make it in waterproof.

My thoughts: When I first saw this, I knew I would love the eyelid and browbone color. The only thing is the browbone looks similar to one of the colors from the Wet n Wild palette in Night Elf.

The one on the left is from Dancing In The Clouds and the right one is Night Elf. You cannot tell in the picture but the one from Night Elf is more silver, right one. Other than that, you can actually say dupe of each other or at least I think so.

Speaking of colors, here's the swatch of the colors from the palette. Starting from left to right, it's eyelid, crease, and browbone.

Other than the colors, I'm pretty impressed with the palette. The browbone color is the most powdery from the palette, but over all it's not that powdery.

Here's a look I did with the crease and browbone.

I love the mixture of the eyelid and browbone colors. I blended the colors with Jemma Kidd eyeshadow in Vanity Fair on the crease.

Pros:
* Cheap, $2.99 for the trio palette.
* Both shimmery and matte colors.
* Pigmented.
* Good staying power.

Cons:
* Sponge eyeshadow and brush is useless.

Would I repurchase: Yes, it's my favorite palette from the collection.

From my August Favorite Products, I mentioned Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara. I was very lucky enough to receive this from a reader. She's so sweet to send this and a lot of other products. Thank you!!!

She sent me the 5th Anniversary Mascara and Remover Set. The one on the left is the remover and the right one is the mascara.

Here's a picture of the mascara.

Here's the wand of the mascara. It's curved and has fibers. I don't know if you can see the fibers on the mascara, but it is there. I love how Asian brands mascaras have fibers. The fibers attach at the end of the lashes lengthening them. You can check out my lashes from the pictures above with the Wet n Wild looks.

This is the remover.

You apply the remover onto your lashes like a mascara, and wait 2-3 minutes. Then you remove it with a cotton pad or tissue depending on you. It really moves the waterproof mascara. I'm pretty impressed with this product. I love it!

Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash Mascara

September of last year, I received a free Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash Mascara from Sephora inside JCPenny. I've been using this mascara for the past three months. I think it's about time I review it... hehe~

My thoughts: I wasn't too sure what to expect from this mascara... hehe~ The first thing I noticed is the interesting brush shape.

It's curvy being thin in the middle and fatter towards the end. I am not too sure why, but it doesn't hurt to try different shaped mascaras... hehe~ I thought it would bother me or feel weird trying this shaped mascara, but it wasn't either. It actually was pretty comfortable.

Other than the shape of the mascara and to be honest, I was worried since it doesn't say anywhere it's waterproof. Having Asian lashes, non-waterproof mascaras tend to weigh my lashes down. I was pretty impressed it didn't weigh my lashes down at all!... yippie~ It actually kept it pretty curly which is a big plus. It also darken and made my eyes look like I have more lashes than I do... yippie~

The makeup on both pictures are Too Faced Baked Eyeshadow in Amber Asteroid. They're taken at different days with different style of using the eyeshadows... hehe~

Since it's not waterproof, I was worried if it would smudge throughout the day. I was pretty impressed it didn't smudge much. It did smudge a little but barely noticeable... hehe~

Pros:

*Bare Escentuals.

* Antioxidant.

* Curve shape which helps to coat every lashes.

* Clump-free.

* Holds up the curls.

* Doesn't weigh the lashes down.

* Darkens and thickens.

* Easy to clean since it's not waterproof.

Cons:

* Not waterproof.

* Smudges a little.

Would I repurchase: Maybe, but it is kind of costly. I strongly believe in drugstore mascaras... hehe~

Folica Haul, Buxon Mascara, and Los Angeles Korean Festival

End of August, I received my Folica haul. I wanted to post this haul as soon as I received it to make sure I receive it before mentioning about the glitch on their website. The day I received it, they fixed the glitch *sigh*. :/ Sorry, my bad! Anyways, to my haul.

I bought three Batiste Dry Shampoo (I will review these later), it was a package deal, and received a free, mini Solia 1/2" flat iron. That's where the glitch was. You're suppose to buy $50 worth of products to get the mini flat iron, but it worked out with $11 worth of products. :/

I was really excited to receive the mini, flat iron! I've always wanted one to take for traveling or on days when I only want to do my bangs... hehe~

In the box, it came with the mini flat iron, one hand glove, and an instruction. I've used it couple of times and think it's about time I review it... hehe~

Product Review: Solia 1/2" Mini Styling Iron

Price: free, it's worth $40

Information on top: Only 6" inches long. The Solia mini styling iron utilizes a unique concave/convex plate technology that offers you styling versatility from a sleek straight look to flips and curls for the ultimate frizz-free style.
My thoughts: Even though I knew it was suppose to be "MINI," I didn't expect it to be that small... lol~ :X It's the size of a hand or at least my hand... lol~ :P It's really cute to be honest, because of the size. Other than the size, the next thing I looked for was the on/off button and temperature adjustment. This doesn't have temperature adjustment. It heats up to the maximum of 400 degree Fahrenheit/200 degree Celsius. The last thing I tend to look for is the end of where the cord is. I hate any styling tools that can get tangle from styling your hair. Thankfully, this has a turn around cord where it shouldn't get tangles... hehe~

When I opened the box, what really excited me was the hand glove! All the flat irons I have/had didn't come with a hand glove. I had to deal with the heat very cautiously... hehe~ Now that I have a hand glove, I can use this with my other styling tools... yippie~ :)

I finally gave it a try and thought it was decent!

Before:

Here's how my bangs/top layer of my hair looked. I have super straight hair, but I have a tendency to tie my hair from the heat... hehe~ :P

After:

Look hot straight it is now!... wheee~

Pros:
* Solia; a great name brand.
* Mini size to take for traveling, and good for short hair and bangs.
* Comes with a hand glove.
* It straightens pretty decently.

Cons:
* Only comes with one temperature; 400 degree Fahrenheit/200 degree Celsius.
* Doesn't come with a bag to put your flat iron in.

Would I buy this again: Yes.

I'm going to end this post with the Los Angeles Korean Festival coming this weekend. It starts Thursday, September 30th with Kim Yuna (Olympic, female ice skating champion) opening. The concert ends with Wonder Girls closing on Saturday, October 2nd. My favorite is the fair with yummy, delicious food and Korea products for cheap (both Saturday and Sunday)... hehe~ You can get more information on their website and Facebook.
