In June 2017, I made a purchase from Sephora.

Here's my purchase. I already reviewed Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Ludwig (bottom right). For this post, I will review the liquid lipstick from Huda Beauty.
This is Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Venus. Since I did a thorough review of Huda Beauty Lip Contour Set in Trendsetter and Bombshell, I will base this on that.

Here's a closer look at the color.
Here's a closer look at the applicator.
Here's a swatch of the liquid lipsticks I own from Huda Beauty from left to right; Bikini Babe, Venus, Girlfriend, Trendsetter, Sugar Mama, and Bombshell.
Here's how Venus looks on me.
Here's an overall look with Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette on the eyes.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there a scent while applying. It smells like vanilla. I just sniffed the product and it smells like how it's applied. It's not my type of scent but it's doable. The smell doesn't bother me and it only lasts for few minutes. Secondly, I like the packaging. It's simple and clean looking. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of thick plastic. I also like that it is see through. If you own more than one, you can distinguish them apart by the color. You can look at the label on the bottom but it is on the small size. The top is also sturdy. You can feel a tight seal when you open and close the top. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. It's also easy to hold with one hand. The applicator is a typical wand you see in a lot of liquid lipsticks. It's slanted on one side of the tip. The tip makes it easy to outline the lips and the flat surface to fill in the remaining. Third, the consistency is liquidity with slight creaminess. It goes on smoothly and does not tug on the lips. With that said, it's easy to use. Since this is a liquid lipstick, it dries quickly. I would say in couple of minutes. Once it's dried, it will not transfer. I just did a kiss test on my hand. It left a slight lipstick mark especially in the center. It's because I applied a lip balm before using this product. If I wore this outside, I wouldn't apply a balm before applying this product. Without thinking, I applied lip balm before I started writing this blog post. On top of it, I applied the liquid lipstick for review purposes. Since it's a liquid lipstick, it adheres to the lips. I definitely recommend exfoliating before applying. It will show all your imperfections like dry, chapped lips. It will show your fine and thick lines. The one thing I like about Huda Beauty liquid lipsticks is that it only shows the fine lines. I hate when my thick lines show. It looks off to my eyes. With that said, it's light-weight and not sticky at all. It doesn't feel like you are wearing anything on the lips. Fourth, the color is pretty. It's a neutral pink. It's a great everyday color and it'll be great for work. You can wear it with smokey eyes and it's great all year round. Pigmentation-wise it's up there. I wouldn't say it's the most pigmented but it's doable. Lastly, it lasted until I ate. I have a tendency to wipe my mouth while eating. For this reason, most lip products don't last that long on me. If you don't wipe your mouth, it should last longer. It's comfortable and not drying at all. I did not see any white residue in the center of the lips. I'm glad I got this product. It is something I can see myself wear in daily basis.

Would repurchase: Yes.
