Happy belated Halloween! I hope you had a great one with candies. :)

Wet N Wild recently came out with three LE (limited edition) ColorIcon Palettes for the Holiday 2012 Collection "Where's the Party?"
I picked up two out of the three. I got #33917 Sparkle 'Til Morning and #33918 Drinking A Glass Of Shine. I did not pick up the third one #33919 Shimmer The Night Away. For this post, I'm going to review Sparkle 'Til Morning.
Product Review: Wet N Wild ColorIcon Palette in Sparkle 'Til Morning

Where to purchase: drugstores and online
Price: $4.99 for 0.3 oz/ 8.5 g

Made in USA

Description from the back: A stunning collection of 8 silky, ultra-pigmented day-to-night colors. Mix-and-match for a variety of looks from sweet to wild!
* All-day, crease-resistant color
Ingredients:
Thoughts: Out of the three palettes, I was most excited about this palette. I knew I would get the most out of this palette since most of the colors are what I wear in daily basis. The packaging fits well with all Wet N Wild 8-Shadows Palettes. I like how they're all the same size, dimension, as well as, same design. It's easier to store together compared to some palettes being bigger than others. One thing I like about their packaging is that it comes with a clear lid. It helps to distinguish the different palettes and know which color decision to choose.
The palette comes with one sponge/brush applicator. I'm not fan of the brush applicator. The hairs spreads out and it's not compacted.
Here's a swatch of the left column.
Now for the right column.

I honestly think the shadows are true to their swatches. They have different textures from glittery (eyelid on the right column) to semi-matte (crease on the right column). I like how the palette does not consist only of shimmery shadows or glittery.

Now for my opinion on this palette... If you're looking for original/unique colors, this palette isn't it. Most of the colors I have seen, as well as, you can find dupes of them in other Wet N Wild Palettes (Trios and/or ColorIcons). With that said, I still like this palette. I'm a palette-type of girl. I rather have colors that I can mix from one place rather than choosing one color here and there. Maybe that's why I hardly buy single eyeshadows, and the ones I do have I hardly reach for them. :X

Compared to the other ColorIcons palettes, the shadows seem a little bit more compacted. I see less loose powder after usage. The definer on the right column has the most loose powder after usage. With that said, I still don't think this palette is travel friendly. I can see the shadows breaking with travel and if you drop the palette.

Here's two looks I did with this palette.
Look #1:
I used most of the colors from the left column.

Look #2:
I only used the right column for this look.

I used a primer, UDPP, with the shadows and they lasted all day long. There's no creasing and the eyeshadows did not fade.

Pros:
* Wet N Wild; brand that's cheap with good quality.
* Same dimension.
* Clear lid.
* Multi-texture shadows.
* Pigmented.
* Lasts all day.

Cons:
* Brush applicator hair spreads out.
* Not travel friendly.
* Not unique/original colors.

Would repurchase: Yes.
Rating:  4.5/5 Tobey's Paws

Last week, I've been obsessed with making this knitted scarf.
So obsessed it only took me three days. I guess three nights of 2-3 hours each. Here's my final result. I actually love it a lot! :) It was a lot of fun and easy. I want to make another one. :X

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!!!

I hope everyone's 2010 will bring goodness in your life. :) For 2010, I want to better my blog. I know I haven't been good when it comes to posting, as well as, commenting. I apologize for my laziness; yes, it's laziness... lol~ :X I want to ask several questions regarding my blog.

What do you want to see for 2010? Any food requests (I know I still have some)? Beauty requests? Tutorials? Something you want to see? Anything at all? Is there anything I can change to make my blog better?

I hope you guys answer these questions because I honestly don't know what my readers think of my blog unless you comment. :)

With the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, there has been a lot of new edition to the drugstore brands. Couple of items stand out to me especially the Maybelline products. I have never been a fan of Maybelline products but they have changed me towards the middle of 2009... hehe~
I apologize for taking such a bad spot of this stand! They put it in such a bad place near the door and the cashier. I had to hide it in my purse to take this picture... lol~ This is the best I could do. :X

This eyeshadow palette stood out because it reminded me of the limited edition in Asia. I know in Asia they had 6 palettes, whereas, we have 12. I also think the colors of the palette is different from the Asian version. In my opinion, the American version is prettier... hehe~ :X I don't remember the names of the palettes, but I'll try my best to explain.

#5 = gold color
#10 = mauve color
#20 = blue color and the one the model is wearing
#30 = purple or lilac color
#40 = green color
#50 = purple or lilac color
#60 = teal/blue color
#70 = copper color
#80 = pink color
#90 = don't remember
#100 = brown color
#110 = lilac color

The numbers I'm sure about, but I can't recall the names and colors... hehe~

These duo eyeshadows from Maybelline reminds me of MAC Mineral eyeshadows. There are 10 of them, and I love the green look the model is showing. It's hot!... wheee~

They also came out with cream eyeliners which I didn't take any pictures of. Unfortunately, I haven't bought any of these palettes. I am waiting for a BOGO sale... hehe~ :X I want all the Color Plush palettes.

Which ones do you like?

This week, it has passed when this post is scheduled, they had a BOGO Free sale on Revlon products. I noticed their new stand for Revlon Color Burst lipsticks and Mineral lipglazes. I couldn't take a picture of the stands because it was in a worst position than the Maybelline one... lol~
I took the new lipglazes and placed it somewhere else so I can take a picture of them. Don't worry I put the lipglazes back... hehe~ ;) The colors from left to right are #542 Continuous Coral, #538 Perennial Pink, #512 Timeless Nude, and #532 Endless Lilac.
I ended up buying the lipglaze in #538 Perennial Pink. By the way, this lipglaze has a scent when you first apply it. I couldn't pin point the scent but it reminds me of the NYX round lipglosses. They both have a similar scent sort of. It goes away after awhile. ;)
I also bought the lipstick in Baby Pink. It's a soft, has little glitters, frosty pink color. I have to say the packaging is cute. It's very classic looking. I think I read in a review someone comparing it to Chanel packaging. :/ It also has the Revlon logo on the lipstick. It reminded me of the Hello Kitty lipsticks from the MAC collection.
Here's a swatch of the lipstick in Baby Pink and the lipglaze in Perennial Pink. They're both pretty colors. I ended up returning the Baby Pink lipstick because I'm not a fan of frosty lipsticks... hehe~ :X I also got a compliment on the Perennial Pink today from a stranger... wheee~ ;)

Today I went to Target and noticed they started carrying the lipsticks from Revlon. They have a special duo collection for much cheaper the price of the BOGO Free sale. The bad side is that the duos are the same colors! You cannot choose the colors you want. :(
I ended up getting the lipsticks in Soft Nude. I don't know what I will do with the other, same color. Maybe I'll give it away as a gift or swap it... hehe~ The color reminded me of Revlon Matte lipstick in Nude Attitude, but this one looked better on me.
I decided to return the Baby Pink lipstick since I'm not a fan of frosty colors, and exchange it for another lipglaze. I got it in #512 Timeless Nude.
The one on the far left is Revlon Matte lipstick in Nude Attitude. The one on the middle is the Soft Nude. The farthest on the right is the lipglaze in Timeless Nude. I think Soft Nude and Nude Attitude look similar, but Soft Nude is prettier... hehe~

Do you want me to review these items, lipsticks and lipglazes?

I showed you guys all the animal bags I made for my nieces as their Christmas gifts.

pig bag = oldest niece wanted
bunny bag = second niece wanted
dog bag = third niece wanted
cow bag = fourth niece wanted

I need to show you what I made for my only nephew... hehe~
I had my teddy bear model the hat. I think it came out okay... lol~ :X

This week I bought my first Juicy Couture item ever! I've been wanting a Juicy Couture bags for ages, but I never could find one I really like or it wasn't on sale. I got lucky with a bag I like and it was on sale... wheee~
They came in three colors; black, pink, and gray. I like the gray one best for some odd reason... hehe~ :) If you look carefully, you will notice a face on the screen. :X

I'm going to end with a product I never knew existed!... lol~
Did you guys know there are frozen dog yogurts? When I saw this, I couldn't refuse to buy one for Tobey... hehe~ He loved it so much!!! He wouldn't take his mouth out of the container and ripped the package in pieces. He loved it that much!... wheee~

Pink/Purple Challenge

Trinh, my kim-chi eating buddy, has been very persistent I do my pink/purple challenge. Actually, let me rephrase that and she reminds me everyday since she gave me this challenge... lol~ :P She challenged me to do a pink/purple, and I challenged her to do silver/purple and orange/black challenge (she owed me one from a long time ago)... hehe~ :P I wanted to do something different which I have never done, and I think the purple came out nice. The pink, on the other hand, doesn't really stand out... lol~ :X Oh well, this is the best I could do at the last moment. Here's my look! :X

UDPP
MAC Paint Pot in Perky
MAC Pigment in Helium on the lid and bottom foiled
MAC Pigment in Violet on the lid foiled
CG Sugar Rush as highlight
L'oreal HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Black
Smashbox Cream Eye Liner Duo in Smashing Beacon on the inner corner and bottom 1/3
Hard Candy Mascara

So that's how my eye (yeah I only did one eye) looks open and slightly close.

What do you think?

My kim-chi eating buddy and I have been in talks about my arm warmers. I'm thinking and the key word is "thinking" of making another blog and trying to sell these. Here's a picture of my model, Tobey, wearing it to refresh your memories.
Isn't Tobey's hand so cute!?!?... hehe~ :) Anyways, it takes me two days to make these if I'm concentrated (one day for each arm). Yes, I'm that slow... hehe~ :P Another reason why I'm thinking of doing this is because it will help me out financially. The question is...

How much are you willing to pay for these arm warmers and would you buy these from me?

Arm Warmers

I usually don't knit for people, because I noticed nobody seems to like the things I make... lol~ :P For that reason, I only make for myself. :X Since I don't have the money to buy gifts this year, I decided to make things for them. The past two days I spent knitting an arm warmer for my oldest sister-in-law. I hope she likes it! :X

Here's a picture of my recent project during the process:
Yup, I used four needles! :P It can get confusing, but that's the only way to go in circular movements.
Here's how the final product looks! I hope you can see the chain in the middle of the arm warmers. I know you cannot see this, but there's a single hole on the side of each arm warmer. The hole is for the person to put their thumb through it. ;)

All I needed is a model to show you how the arm warmers looks like... lol~ Tobey volunteered! Okay, okay I forced him to model the arm warmers... hehe~ :P
I made him model the one I made for myself last year. I didn't want him to try on a gift and make it stink... hehe~ :P
