Manicure Monday: OPI in Girls Just Want To Play

Beginning of 2009, I purchased OPI nail polish from ULTA. The only reason I never reviewed this product is that I only wore it on my toes. For some reason, this winter season I want to wear it on my hands.
This is OPI in Girls Just Want To Play. I could not find it on the website. It's either sold out or discontinue. I think it's the second. Since I did a thorough review of OPI in Next Stop...The Bikini Zone, I will base this on that.
Here's a closer look at the color.
Here's a closer look at the brush.
I applied OPI Nail Envy in OriginalMadam Glam Gelementary Gel-Like Base Coat, two coats of OPI in Girls Just Want To Play, and topped all the nails with Essie Good To Go Top Coat.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the brush is on the wide side. Three strokes and you move onto the next nail. Even though it doesn't have a curve tip, it was easy to paint around the cuticles and sides. Secondly, I have never disliked any nail polish packaging. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of thick glass. The top is also sturdy. You can feel a tight seal when you open and close. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag and even your pocket. It's also easy to hold with one hand. Third, the consistency is creamy and on the medium. It's not too thick that its hard to work with. It's also not too thin that it runs while painting. It's a good consistency and you can take your time with painting. It will not get clumpy with usage. With that said, it's easy to use. It goes on smoothly, and there are no streaking and bubbles. Since my nail polish is on the older side, I needed to thin it out a bit. I used a nail polish thinner, and it made it look and feel brand new. Fourth, the color is a cool tone red where it has a pinkish-red vibe. It's a great color all year round. Pigmentation-wise it's up there. Two coats were good enough for my skin tone. Lastly, I saw chipping on the sides of the tips on the fourth day. Other than that, I did not see shrinkage whatsoever. I'm glad I got this polish. I'm not a big red person but I have been loving it this winter season. It's also not one of those reds that are dark. It's more a bright, cheerful red.

Would repurchase: Yes.
