Manicure Monday: Essie in Sandy Soles, Hemmed on the Horizon Collection 2020

I visited a nail beauty store in Chinatown in December 10, 2021 and purchased some essie polishes.
I ended up purchasing four Essie gel couture. I already reviewed Essie in High-End Note (second from left). For this post, I will review the third from the left.
This is Essie in Sandy Soles. I am not too sure why it's not listed on their website. Since I did a thorough review of Essie Gel Couture in Turn 'N' Pose, I will base this on that.
Here's a closer look at the color. It is brighter on the nails than from the bottle.
Here's a closer look at the brush. Compared to OPI, the width is wider. I would say it's on the thick side. The length on the other hand is the same.
I applied Essie Strong Start Base Coat, two coats of Essie in Sandy Soles, and topped all the nails with Orly In A Snap Quick-Dry Topcoat.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the brush is wide enough to do three strokes and move onto the next nail. Not only that, it has a curve tip which makes it easy to paint around the cuticles and sides. Secondly, I like the packaging. The swirl on the outside really stands out. This is my third time using this specific product from Essie, and I never noticed the brush handle matches the swirl from the outside. It sure tells me how observant I am. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of thick glass. The top is also sturdy. I can feel a tight seal when I open and close. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. It's also easy to hold with one hand. Third, the consistency is creamy and on the medium. It's not to thick that it's hard to work with. It's also not too thin that it runs while painting. It's a good consistency and you can take your time with painting. It will not get clumpy while usage. With that said, it's easy to use. It goes on smoothly, and there are no streaking and bubbles. Fourth, I was expecting it to be pink but I was shocked to find out it's peachy pink. I like the color a lot more than what I expected. It's a great spring and summer color. It's also on the neutral side and great for work. Pigmentation-wise it's up there. Two coats were good enough for my skin tone. Lastly, I did not see shrinkage whatsoever. I did see slight chipping on the tips on the sides on the fourth day. It's very slight that it's not that noticeable. I only noticed for review purchases. I am glad I got this product. I am loving this particular color and longevity.

Would repurchase: Yes.
