Manicure Monday: Essie in Blanc

I've had this polish from Essie for years. I don't know why I never reviewed it since I've used more than half.

This is Essie in Blanc. Since I did a thorough review of Essie in First Timer, I will base this on that.
Here's a closer look at the color. The website describes it as "brush on the perfect french manicure tip with ease, full coverage, pure snowy white lacquer creates an elegant, smooth line every time." I have to agree with the description.
Here's a closer look at the brush. Compared to OPI, it's a lot thinner and shorter. I would say the width is on the thin side.
I applied OPI Nail Envy in OriginalMadam Glam Gelementary Gel-Like Base Coat, two coats of Essie in Blanc, and topped all the nails with Essie Good To Go Top Coat.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the brush is on the thin side. It's not my type of brush or a brush I would reach for. Even though it's thin, it was doable. I didn't wipe the brush inside the bottle before using. That helped it spread through the nails. I did have trouble painting around the cuticles and sides. It might also be because of the consistency. I had to thin it out with a thinner before using. I used Seche Restore. Secondly, I like the packaging. I have never disliked any nail polish packaging. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of thick glass. The top is also sturdy. You can feel a tight seal when you open and close. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. It's also easy to hold with one hand. Third, the consistency is creamy and medium when I first used it many years ago. After several years, it got thick. For this reason, I used a thinner to thin it out. It didn't take much to thin the polish out. It also did not mess up with the polish. It went on smoothly, and there were no streaking and bubbles. With that said, it was easy to use. It wasn't too thick to apply onto the nails. It also wasn't to thin that it ran all over. It was a decent consistency, and you could take your time with painting. It did not get hard with usage. Fourth, this is the most perfect cleanest white polish ever. I love how perfect the color is that I'm going to paint my toes next. It's a great spring and summer color. Pigmentation-wise it's up there. I used two coats for it to show on my nails. Lastly, there was no chipping whatsoever. That is pretty impressive knowing how old this polish is. Not only that, I had to thin the polish out. I did notice slight shrinkage on the fourth day but it's the most smallest I have ever seen. If I did not look at my nails for review purposes, I would have not seen the shrinkage whatsoever. I'm so glad I got this polish. This has to be my favorite white polish I own!

Would repurchase: Yes.
