Manicure Monday: Essie in Streetwear N' Tear

Last week, April 2022, I bought an Essie polish from CVS.
This is Essie in Streetwear N' Tear. Since I did a thorough review of Essie Expressie in Desk Mani, I will base this on that.
Here's a closer look at the color. The website describes it as "kelly green quick nail polish with blue undertones" and I agree with the description.
Here's a closer look at the brush. Compared to OPI, the width is wider and the length is shorter.
I applied Essie Strong Start Base Coat, two coats of Essie in Streetwear N' Tear, and topped all the nails with Orly In A Snap Quick-Dry Topcoat.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the brush is wide enough to do three strokes and move onto the next nail. I also love the curve tip. Even though I love the brush in every way possible, the consistency made it slightly difficult to paint around the cuticles and sides. Secondly, I like the packaging. It's simple and clean looking. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of thick glass. The top is also sturdy. I can feel a tight seal when I open and close. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. Also, it's easy to hold with one hand. Third, the consistency is creamy and in-between medium to thick. It's not too thick that it's hard to work with. It's also not too thin that it runs while using. It's an okay consistency and you can take your time with painting. It does not get clumpy with usage. Personally, I am not good at painting nails. I found it hard to paint around the cuticles and sides. It had to do with the consistency. If it's not a certain thickness, I find it hard to use. Since it was thicker than I am used to, I just wasn't good. If you are a more experience painter and patient, you should be fine. With that said, it's easy to use. It goes on smoothly, and there are no streaking and bubbles. Fourth, it's a pretty greenish-blue color. I think it's more a fall and winter color. Would I say the color is unique? No, I think you can find it in other brands. Pigmentation-wise it's up there. Two coats were good enough for my skin tone. Lastly, I saw slight shrinkage on the fifth day. I do not see chipping whatsoever. I am glad I got this product. The color is nice and it lasts a long time. I just wished the consistency is slightly thinner but I am happy with what it is.

Would repurchase: Yes.
