Manicure Monday: Formula X in TGIF

For this post, it is a repeat of Formula X in TGIF that I reviewed in September 2016.
Here's a closer look at the packaging. It seems like Formula X isn't sold on Sephora anymore, as well as, I cannot find a website.
Here's a closer look at the color. It is slightly brighter on the nails than from the bottle.
Here's a closer look at the brush. Compared to OPI, it's thinner and slightly shorter. I would say the width is on the thin side.
I applied OPI Nail Envy in OriginalMadam Glam Gelementary Gel-Like Base Coat, two coats of Formula X in TFIF, and topped all the nails with Essie Good To Go Top Coat.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the brush isn't something I would reach for but it was doable with this particular color. The consistency of the product helped. It made the polish spread easily that three strokes were good enough for each nail. Since it doesn't have a curve tip, I found it slightly hard to paint around the cuticles and sides. If you are a better painter than I am, this shouldn't be an issue. Secondly, I like the packaging of the polish. It's simple and clean. I like the white top. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of thick glass. The top is also sturdy. There are two tops but I am talking about the inner top. You can feel a tight seal when you open and close the top. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. It's also easy to hold with one hand. Third, the consistency is creamy and on the medium. It's not too thick that it's hard to work with. It's also not too thin that it runs while painting. It's a good consistency and you can take your time with painting. It will not get clumpy with usage. With that said, it's easy to use. It goes on smoothly, and there are no streaking and bubbles. Fourth, it's a pretty neon pink. It's great for spring and summer season. Do I think the color is unique? No. I think you can find it in other brands. Pigmentation-wise it's up there. Two coats were good enough for my skin tone. Lastly, I did not see shrinkage whatsoever. I did see chipping on the sides of the tips on the third day. It's not small chipping, but a mixture of small and big. I do not know if the quality of the polish got worst with years or it's just that way normally. I guess I could read my original review but I wanted to write without a tainted mind. I'm glad I got this polish. The color is pretty and cheery. I got compliments too!

Would repurchase: Yes.
