End of last year (December 2014), I attended Besame Cosmetics Brightening Face Powders Launch Event with collaboration with Latina Lifestyle Bloggers Collective. I was lucky enough to receive a goody bag from Besame Cosmetics.

I got one of their face powder and a perfume. For this post, I will talk about the face powder.

Thoughts: When I received the product in my goody bag, I was excited and couldn't wait to test it out!
Isn't the packaging adorable!?!? That alone can sell me. Here's how it looks when you open the lid.
Here's a closer look at the sifter after you take out the sponge. I love that the powder comes with a separate compartment for the sponge.
Here's a look at the sponge.
Here's how the other side of the sponge looks like. This is the side you use on your face.
Here's a swatch of the powder on my hand. I had to swatch heavily to show on my skin.
Here's how the powder looks on my face. I only used it under my eyes, around the nose, the zit on my nose, and zits around the side of my chin.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, it has a slight scent. It smells like vanilla but it's not overbearing. I'm not a huge fan of vanilla scent but I actually like it. Plus, the scent doesn't last that long. In all honesty, I didn't even notice the scent while applying. I only notice while sniffing the product. Secondly, the compact sponge/pad is well-made. It'll be great for traveling. Also, I love that it comes in it's own compartment. I hate the idea of used compact sponge/pad is resting in the same compartment as the sifter. That might just be me. Even though the compact sponge/pad is good, I actually use my brush. I found the sifter kind of hard to sift the powder. It might just be me. For that reason, I took the plastic sifter out. It's only the powder and the lid. I found it easier to use or at least for me. Third since I have dry skin, I didn't apply it all over my face. I only applied in areas where I used concealer. I noticed it sets the concealer, as well as, makes it less shiny. I definitely noticed the difference where I applied the powder and no powder. Since my skin is dry, it really didn't make that much of a difference but I still noticed. If you have oily skin, I recommend applying it all over. Lastly, it lasted all day on me. I didn't need to re-touch which is a huge plus for me.

Pros:
* Comes in three variety of powders.
* Cute, well-made container.
* Well-made compact sponge/pad.
* Separate compartment for the compact sponge/pad.
* Slight vanilla scent.
* Travel-friendly.
* Easy to apply.
* Translucent.
* Set makeup.
* Get rid of shine; mattes.
* Long lasting.
* Formulated without parabens.
* Gluten-free.

Cons:
* Found the sifter hard to sift the powder.

Would repurchase: Yes!
