When I first saw the Physicians Formula Extreme Shimmer online, I've been on a hunt. It took me many stores and weeks. I was extremely stoked when I saw the display at my nearest CVS.

I picked up the dry and cream shadow. For this post, I will focus on the eyeshadow palette.

Ingredients:
Thoughts: I, personally, tend to like shimmery eyeshadows more so than matte. For that reason, I was stoked when I saw this online and heard great reviews. So you can imagine how I felt when I got this goody in my hand!
The size of the palette is their typical Physicians Formula. I love how you can store them and the only difference is the cover. The Extreme Shimmer has shimmery covers. When I first saw the palette even before opening the box, I assumed the cover would be rough. It's not and that's a plus! Who wants to scratch their nails every time they open/close the palette?
Here's how the palette looks open. You open to the right.
Here's a closer look at the eyeshadows. It's the second one from the left.
Now for the swatches... This is the first three shadows from left to right.
The last three shadows from left to right.
It also comes with a sponge applicator which I didn't use.

Now for looks I did...
Look #1:
I used the fifth color from the left on the lid, and the second color from the left on the outer v and crease.
Here's an overall look.

Look #2:
I applied the lightest shade from the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Extreme Shimmer Cream Shadow & Liner. Then I applied the third color from the left on the lid, and MAC in Mulch on the outer v and crease.
Here's an overall look.

Look #3:
I applied the second from the left on the lid, and MAC in Mulch on the outer v and crease.
Here's an overall look.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, this palette is extremely shimmery. If you're not a fan of shimmer eyeshadows, this isn't for you. I'm a huge fan of shimmery shadows. With that said, the shadows are not the most opaque. There's enough color or at least for my skin tone. If you're dark, I doubt any color will show up. Also with the combination of cream shadows in the same line, it looks like foil eyeshadows. I've heard it's similar to Stila foil shadows but you don't have to use the mixing solution. To be honest, I own one Stila foil shadow but I haven't had the chance to try it out. When I do, I will compare it to this. I think it'll be a fun post. Secondly, it lasted all day on me without creasing. Lastly, I own other Physicians Formula palettes but none of them have blown me away. I have to say this and the cream shadows has been my favorite.

Pros:
* Physicians Formula; a brand that is trusted.
* Cute packaging.
* Shimmery shadows.
* Great for light to medium skin tone.
* Blends well.
* Lasts all day without creasing.
* Paraben free.

Cons:
* No matte shadows.
* Not the most opaque.

Would repurchase: Yes!

Does the shimmer on the compact itself fall out? I have a pouch with shimmer and suffice to say, it is still in its plastic bag (otherwise I will be sweeping up glitter particles every other day).
