Manicure Monday: OPI in Don't Violet Me Down

I bought this OPI polish in 2015. I am not too sure why I never reviewed or used the polish.
This is OPI in Don't Violet Me Down. Since I did a thorough review of OPI in Next Stop...The Bikini Zone, I will base this on that.
Here's a closer look at the color.
Here's a closer look at the brush.
I applied Essie Strong Start Base Coat, two coats of OPI in Don't Violet Me Down, and topped all the nails with Orly In A Snap Quick-Dry Topcoat.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the brush is wide enough to do three strokes and move onto the next nail. Not only that since the nail polish is see through, you can make mistakes and it will not be noticeable. For this reason, it's good for all levels of painters. Secondly, I like the packaging. It's the well-known packaging. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of glass. The top is also sturdy. You can feel a tight seal when you open and close the top. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. It's also easy to hold with one hand. Third, the consistency is creamy and in-between medium to thick. It's not to thick that it's hard to work with. It's also not too thin that it runs while using. It's an alright consistency and you can take your time with painting. It will not get clumpy with usage. With that said, it's easy to use. It goes on smoothly, and there are no streaking. There are bubbles on the other hand. I am not too sure why but I need to play around with this polish. Fourth, the color is a see through pinkish purple. It's a pretty color and great all year round. I definitely think the color is unique. I have not seen this in other brands. Pigmentation-wise it's alright. It's not extremely pigmented since it is see through. Lastly. I saw shrinkage and chipping on the third day. I am glad I got this product. The color is pretty and unique, but it's not long lasting. I also don't know why there are bubbles. I think you don't need a base coat, as well as, maybe one coat is good. I am not too sure but it's a different type of polish than I have ever seen.

Would repurchase: No.
