Manicure Monday: OPI in Alpine Snow

Sorry I have not blogged in awhile. A lot has happened including getting Covid. Getting Covid myself wasn't hard, but trying to get over it while a family member is hospitalized was hard. Things are better and hopefully, I am back to blogging for good.

For this post, it is a repeat of OPI in Alpine Snow that I reviewed in July 2016.
This is OPI in Alpine Snow. Since I did a thorough review of OPI in Next Stop...The Bikini Zone, I will base this on that.
Here's a closer look at the color. The website describes it as "fresh, crisp white, perfect for French-look tips." I definitely agree with the description.
Here's a closer look at the brush. I compare other brushes to OPI. I think OPI brushes are the most universal.
I applied Essie Strong Start Base Coat, two coats of OPI in Alpine Snow, and topped all the nails with Orly In A Snap Quick-Dry Topcoat.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the brush is wide enough to do three strokes and move onto the next nail. It does not have a curve tip. I prefer curve tips because I am not the best at painting. If you are good, this is a good brush. Secondly, the packaging is universal or at least to me. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of glass. The top is also sturdy.  I can feel a tight seal when I open and close the top. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. It's also easy to hold with one hand. Third, the consistency is in-between medium to thick. It's a little thicker than I like. I cannot remember if it was that way when I first purchased this product or it got thicker with years. Since it's thicker than usual, I have a tendency to paint faster. It's all mental. You can take your time with painting but I just go faster. With that said, it's easy to use. It goes on smoothly, and there are no streaking and bubbles. Fourth, it's a gorgeous white and great for all year round. Would I say the color is unique? No, you can find it in other brands. Pigmentation-wise it's up there. Two coats were good enough for my skin tone. Lastly, I did not see shrinkage whatsoever. I did see chipping on the tips the next day. I saw small and big chippings. I am glad I got to try this product. I wouldn't buy it in the future. I think I have seen other whites with better quality.

Would repurchase: No.
