Please don't forget to enter derma e Anti-Acne Cleanser, Serum, and Cream Giveaway. It ends February 11, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

In June 2016, I went to PHAMExpo LA 2016 and was invited to the after party hosted by PHAMExpo and BeBella Cosmetics.

Here are the products I got either through swag bag or laid on the tables. I already reviewed BeBella Glow Dust Palette (middle left). For this post, I will review the sponge on top middle.
Product Review: BeBella Blending Sponge in Purple

Where to purchase: online at bebellacosmetics.com
Price: $5.99

Made in PRC

Description from the website: The BeBella tear drop blending sponge is used best with liquid makeup, such as liquid primers, foundations and concealers. The Sponges are high quality and will have long life as long as you care for them properly. The sponge will evenly distribute your foundation or powder instead of absorbing your expensive cosmetics. It is hypoallergenic and latex free. It is very soft when wet, it will expand to double the size.
Thoughts: I received the hot pink in my swag bag. While at the event, I grabbed the other two purple and black. I gave the black to an ex-coworker and I kept the purple for myself. I couldn't decide which color I wanted to try. I decided to try purple.
Here's a closer look at the sponge.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's no noticeable scent while using. I just sniffed the product and there's no scent whatsoever. Secondly, the sponge is nice. I like that you have a choice of three colors; black, hot pink, and purple. I'm sure they all work the same. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's also travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. I do recommend if you carry a sponge that has been used, you put it in somewhere like your makeup bag. If you carry used sponges, the makeup on the sponge can wipe on other things. It's not common but it is possible. It's also easy to hold with one hand. Third, you can use the sponge wet or dry. I, personally, have not used it dry so I cannot say. I only used it wet. With that said, it's easy to use. I put the sponge under running water and the sponge would absorb the water. Once it's absorbed to the maximum, the sponge would increase in size. Then I would squeezed the sponge to remove the excess water. Now it's ready to be used. It's that easy. Since the sponge comes with a tip and a round flat surface, you can use it anyway you like. I used the tip around the corners of my nose and under my eyes. The round flat surface I used on bigger areas like my cheeks and forehead. I would pat more so than apply like a brush. Patting foundation, concealer, and so on with the sponge would pressed the makeup into the skin. It makes it last longer. That's the one thing I like about sponges. They are just easy to use but it depends on the foundation. I noticed foundation with matte texture tend to be easier to pressed into the skin, whereas, dewy foundation takes longer. The sponge picks up the foundation and less is applied onto the skin. You need to apply more layers to get more coverage. In that way, you need to test foundation with different methods to find the best way of using. With that said when you wet the sponge, the color does not fade. I did not see any color fading into the sink. Since I've been using this sponge more than several months, I did notice it's not as purple as it used to be. It's a faded purple. I think it's more so from foundation than cleaning the sponge. The mixture of foundation and the purple faded the color. Lastly, it's easy to rinse. I just use brush cleanser soap. I rub with my fingers, and the makeup would run under the running water. Then I let it dry overnight. I'm glad I got this sponge. It works well and to be honest, I cannot tell the differences between sponges. They all work the same to me.
