In July 2017, I attended CosmoProf Las Vegas. I already reviewed Lechat in Fantasea, ella + mila Velvet Matte in X on the Beach, Skinn Don't Budge Waterproof Cream Eyeshadows in Non-Matte, Nature Nut For Dry & Damaged Hair Shampoo and Conditioner, LuLuLun Plus in Rose, Dengi Hair Iron, BioRepublic No More Years Eternal Radiance Mask, Lisse Real Hydrogen Rejuvenate Mask, LuLuLun Plus in Clary Sage, Nature Nut Moisturizing Body Lotion, LuLuLun Plus in Smooth Gold, and Nature Nut Moisturizing Shower Gel. For this post, I will review a brush from Wet Brush.
Product Review: Wet Brush Paddle in Black
Where to purchase: online at thewetbrush.com
Price: $10.99
Description from the website: The Paddle's IntelliFlex® bristles are super thin, strong and flexible. These bristles will glide through any hair type combing out tangles effortlessly. The bristles' flexibility enables protective and pain-free detangling while the SofTips™ on the very top of the bristles massage the scalp to stimulate circulation at the follicle. They are firm enough to comb through knots, yet flexible enough to be gentle on the scalp. Our IntelliFlex® bristles bounce back to their original form after each stroke eliminating all the hair breakage and pain that used to be associated with brushing your hair. The Paddle can be used on wet or dry hair and works on extensions and wigs.
Thoughts: Towards the end of CosmoProf, I was walking the floor. This was during the time the brands started cleaning up. While I was passing the hair section, the Wet Brush had a box they were giving away brushes. They told me I can grab one. Even though it's not in a box and might be used, I decided I can still use it. I just need to sanitize it which is what I did. They had all colors and styles, but I choose the most simplest one I saw.
Here's a closer look at the bristles.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I like the style of the brush. When it comes to combs and brushes, I tend to navigate towards black. It's just simple and a classic look that never fades. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of thick plastic. It also has a velvety-like feel. I usually avoid this type of material when it comes to beauty products. I noticed with time, they get sticky. I've had this brush over a year and it hasn't once gotten sticky. That's a huge plus for me! I don't see any finger marks, scratches, and even fading. It looks new like the first day I got the brush. I also like the handle. It's easy to grab and hasn't hurt once since using the brush. It also helps that the brush is light-weight. If the brush was on the heavy side, it'll start to weigh down on the hands and start hurting after couple of minutes. The bristles are nice. It is on the thin side or at least compared to my other brushes. Even though it's thin, I don't see any torn part on the bristles. It looks like the first day I got the brush. I can see this brush lasting a good amount of years. Once the bristles start breaking, that's the time you know you need to get a new brush. Secondly, you can use it on wet and dry hair. I've used on both hair conditions and they did not make a difference. When I first started using this brush, I combed through my naturally straight hair. It really didn't make a difference when my hair was wet or dry. It felt the same. When I permed my hair in March, that's when the texture of my hair changed. My hair was easier to comb through wet hair since it's right after I applied hair mask or conditioner. It softened my hair. When my hair was not wet, my hair texture is a complete mess. It's dry and brassy. It's a little bit harder to comb through but it doesn't pull on the hair. Other combs/brushes would pull on my hair and create split ends at the ends. You don't have to worry with this brush. It's gentle on the hair. Lastly, I'm glad I picked up this brush. It's all I ask for. It's light-weight, easy to use, and doesn't hurt combing through my hair!
