In June 2018, ULTA had a 20% off sale. I decided to purchase some products.

Here are the products I got. I already reviewed MAC Matte Lipstick in Baby's All Right (middle right). For this post, I will review the eyeshadow from Dose of Colors on the bottom right.

Thoughts: When I first saw this in the store, I fell in love. I love the metallic with the reflects of sparkles. It reminded me of this particular eyeshadow from a brand I wanted. It was limited edition and sold out even before I had a chance to purchase it. For this reason, I could't refuse this time around.
Here's a closer look inside the eyeshadow. It comes with a mirror.
Here's a closer look at the eyeshadow.
Here's a swatch of the eyeshadow on my hand. The website describes it as "medium brown base with gold reflects" and I have to agree.
Here's how the eyeshadow looks on me. I have Dose of Colors Block Party Eyeshadow in Lock & Key on the lid. I blended out the crease and outer v with MAC Eyeshadow in Mulch.
Here's the same look at a different angle.
Here's an overall look. I have Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Bikini Babe on the lips.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's no noticeable scent while applying. I just sniffed the product and there's no scent whatsoever. Secondly, the packaging is cute. It's small, simple, and clean looking. I also like that it comes with a mirror but I doubt I will use it. I cannot see myself taking this shadow with me. It'll be one of those shadows that will be at home at all times. I will get into that later. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. There's no scratches and finger marks. The top is also sturdy. I can feel a tight seal when I open and close, as well as, hear a clicking noise. I cannot see it open or the packaging break unless you are rough with the packaging. I usually would say it'll be travel-friendly but I cannot with this particular shadow. Third, the consistency is medium and buttery soft. It feels great in-between my fingers. With that said, it's easy to use. I just apply it with my brush. It's easy to pick up and apply onto the lids. It's also easy to blend. Even though it looks compacted in the packaging, it isn't. It broke like crazy during the shipment. When I opened the eyeshadow, everything broke. It looked like loose pigments more so than an eyeshadow. I had to exchange in store so I wouldn't get another broken eyeshadow through shipment. For this particular reason, I say it's not travel-friendly. Fourth, the color is pretty. It's more on the dark side. I wouldn't say it's an everyday color that you would wear to work. It's more of a going out shadow. I also love the reflects. That's the main reason this shadow drew me in. It's not glittery. It just sparkles on the eyes. With that said, it's great all year round. Pigmentation-wise it's up there. I kind of muted the color so it wouldn't look that smokey during the day time. It's also easy to layer the color. Lastly, it lasted all day without creasing, smudging, and fading. I'm glad I got this color. It's pretty. Would I purchase another one? I don't know. Knowing that it breaks so easily, it kind of stops me from purchasing more. If it didn't break that easily, I would purchase without even thinking twice.
