Please don't forget to enter NiGEL Kit Giveaway. It ends January 4, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).
In November 2018, I went to The Makeup Show LA 2018.
Here are the products I either purchased or they gave away on the floor. I already reviewed Rude Notorious Liquid Lip Color in Bad to the Bones (middle), and Sephora Polish Up Silicone Brush Cleansing Pad (bottom left). For this post, I will review the sample sunscreen on the bottom middle that I received from CoTZ.
Product Review: CoTZ Face SPF 40 Natural-Tinted
Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's no noticeable scent while using. I just sniffed the product and there's no scent whatsoever. Secondly, I do not own the full-size. I looked on the website and I did not see this product. It's either sold out or discontinued. I probably think it's the second. I will only talk about the deluxe sample I received with my order. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of plastic. The top is also sturdy. I feel a tight seal when you open and close the top. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. It's also easy to hold with one hand. Third, the consistency is creamy and on the medium. It's not too thick that it's hard to work with. It's also not too thin that it runs while applying. It's a good consistency. With that said, it's easy to use. I squeeze about a dime size on the palm of my hand, and apply onto the face and ears before I head out. Yes, I protect my ears. I get moles/freckles quickly and I noticed moles are being born on my ears. I want to protect my skin from getting moles, freckles, and sun spots. With that said, a little goes a long way with this protect. Since the consistency is creamy, it feels like you are applying moisturizer more so than a sunscreen. It doesn't lay on the skin. It sinks into the skin which reminds me of Asian sunscreens. I, personally, feel that sunscreens that gets absorbed into the skin protects both from UVA and UVB, where as, sunscreens that lay on the skin only protects from the outside. You need sunscreen that protects outside, as well as, internally. It quickly absorbs into the skin and leaves a matte texture. If you like matte texture, this is alright. I do not like matte texture. I think it ages the skin. For this reason, I look for dewy complexion. Matte texture is good for teenagers to real young adults. If you are 30 or above, slight dewiness to dewy is good for the skin. That's just my opinion. It also leaves a slight tint to the skin. I don't like tinted products. I feel that if you want color on the skin, you should just do self-tanners or get a real tan. I think tinted products does not look natural on the skin or at least on me. It just doesn't look good. My yellow skin looks brown as in poop color. Lastly, I do not know if it lasts as a sunscreen. I trust that sunscreens protect the skin. If not, sunscreens would had been gone many years ago. It scientifically proven that it helps the skin and I trust science. I would pass but if you like tinted and protection, this is a good one.
