In March 2018, I went to Generation Beauty LA with a friend. Before we even got inside, they gave us our swag bag.

Thoughts: That night after getting the products from Generation Beauty LA 2018, I sat on my bed going through the products. Both the colors of these Velour Liquid Lips stood out to me. They're both on the neutral side and they're liquid lipsticks. What I enjoy in my lip products!

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's a slight scent while applying. I cannot distinguish the smell. Plus, it only lasts for couple of seconds. I just sniffed the product and it has an unique scent. It doesn't smell sweet, floral, and so on. It's something I have never smelled before. Secondly, the packaging is alright. When you look at it, it's nice. It's clean, simple, and it stands out. I also like that it's see through. I can see the color. It definitely helps if you own more than one. You can distinguish the colors apart easily. The part I don't like is the top. The way it turns and open/close feels cheap. It doesn't open and close smoothly. With that said, it's sturdy but I wouldn't say it's well-made. It's made out of thick plastic. The top is alright. Like I said, I don't like how it turns and open/close. It has a tight seal when I open and close. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's also thin enough to hold with one hand. It's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and pocket. The doe foot applicator looks like every liquid lipstick applicators. It's slanted on one side of the tip. It's easy to outline the lips and fill in the remaining. Third, the consistency is liquidity. Compared to most liquid lipsticks, I have to say it's a little bit more creamier. With that said, it's easy to use. It glides on and does not tug on the lips. It dries quickly. I would say within a minute or two. It's supposed to be transfer-proof. I just kissed on my hand and it did not leave any mark. On the other hand, I drank water and saw slight mark on my cup. Most of the mark was from the inner corners of my lips. This is pretty new. From my experience, Most of the color comes from my inner lips not the inner corners. Also, it has a slight stickiness. It's not to the point it's bothersome. When I smack my lips together, it slightly stick together for a second. With that said since this is a liquid lipstick, I highly recommend you exfoliate your lips before using the product. It will show your imperfects. You don't want to show your dry patches. Thankfully, the texture of the liquid lipstick is thin. It applies thinly and doesn't completely adhere to the lips. For this reason, it doesn't show the thick lines. It does show the fine lines but I don't mind personally. Fourth, the color is pretty. It's your lips but better color. It's good all year round. Great for everyday color, as well as, with smokey eye makeup. Pigmentation-wise it's not pigmented. I have naturally pink lips. One layer is good enough for my skin but it's only slightly shown. Lastly, it only lasts until I eat. I have a tendency to wipe my mouth after each meal. For this particular reason, most lip colors don't last long on me. It's light-weight, comfortable, and not drying at all. I did not see any white residue in the center of the lips. I'm glad I got to try this product. I was curious about this product when I saw it.

* Cheap top; doesn't turn and open/close well.

* Slight stickiness.
* Not highly pigmented.
