I apologize Manicure Monday will be back next week. I just haven't had the time to paint my nails with all that has been going on in my life. It's just been crazy at work, personal, and so on. Anyways, I will be reviewing a Urban Decay product from my Play! By Sephora August 2016.
Here are the products I received. I already reviewed Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm (top right). For this post, I will review the mascara on top left.
It came in big paper packaging.

Thoughts: I've always heard great things about Urban Decay mascaras. For that reason, I was excited to try it out.
Here's a closer look at the wand.
Here's how the mascara looks on my lashes. I have Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Eye & Cheek Palette on the eyes.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's no noticeable scent while applying. I just sniffed the product and there's a slight scent. It's so minimal that it's not that noticeable. I also cannot distinguish the scent but at least it doesn't smell chemically. Secondly. the packaging is cute. It comes in a metallic black container with purple writing. There's no scratches and finger marks. The top also has a tight seal. I can feel a tight squeeze at the end while closing. For that reason, I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. It's also travel-friendly. It comes in a thin packaging. It's easy to carry or even put in your pocket. The wand is nice. It has a lot of bristles which makes it easy to grab the fine lashes. The size of the wand is a perfect thickness. It's not too big or too thin. Third, the consistency is liquidity and it becomes medium after several usage. Usually from my experience, it's liquidity on the first day and then it's a good consistency. It wasn't like that for me with this particular mascara. It was liquidity on the first day and it did get thicker with usage, but it was still hard to work with. I'm not too sure why but every single time I used the mascara, I saw mascara marks all over my eyes. It didn't matter if it was upper lid or lower. It was all over. The mixture of the consistency and the thickness of the wand did not help my Asian lashes. To be honest, I didn't think the wand was big at all. I usually use wands with this thickness so I have no clue what happened. It wasn't like once in awhile. It was all the time. I also saw my straight, Asian lashes fall slightly. I've had mascaras where it falls and becomes straight. This didn't completely fall but it was in-between the curl to my straight, normal lashes. With that said, my lashes did look fuller but not longer. I love the thick, full, black lashes especially since I wear black eyeliner. It needs to stand out against my eyeliner. I wish it would have given me length. I read one review on the website and she recommends the combination of the mascara with their primer. It gave her volume and length. I'm too lazy to do two steps for my lashes especially since I'm always running out the house. Lastly, the reviews on the website were all positive. I didn't see any negative reviews. With that said, this mascara just didn't work for me. It does happen once in awhile where everyone gives it possible reviews but it doesn't work for specific people. That was the case for me with this particular mascara.
