Thoughts: I've always heard good thing about Algenist but I never ventured into it. I'm trying to finish my skin care products that I own before purchasing more. For that reason when I saw this sample, I was excited to test it out.
Here's a closer look at the eye cream.
Here's a swatch of the eye cream on my hand.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's no noticeable scent while applying. I just sniffed the product and there's a slight scent. It's so light that I cannot distinguish the smell. It smells like it's on the plant side. Secondly, I received a sample size. It's the size of half the original size. For that reason, I cannot say how I like the packaging. If it's the same as the sample size, I like it. It's light-weight, simple, sturdy, and travel-friendly. I cannot see it break or open unless you are rough with the packaging. Third, the consistency is thin. It's very light-weight and feels like a thin lotion. You just pat the product lightly around the eyes and it's sinks into the skin quickly. My skin absorbed this product like no other. Honestly, it doesn't matter if you have dry or oily skin. It's for every skin types. With that said, it's easy to apply and it leaves a nice, soft texture. It's not greasy and heavy, but it leaves a hydrated, smooth skin. A little goes a long way with this product. You really need the minimum for the entire eyes. I've been using this sample bottle for some time and I'm barely getting towards the end. Lastly and with usage, I noticed an improvement around the eyes. The first thing I noticed is the hydrated skin around the eyes. It softened the dry patches, made my skin look more youthful, and diminished the fine lines. When it comes to dark circles under the eyes, I cannot say. I never had heavy dark circles. It's always been light and there are times I barely notice. For that reason, I never worried about it. I just cover it with concealer and I'm set for the day. Puffiness, on the other hand, I've always had the Asian puppy eyes. To be honest, I think it's cute and it's something a lot of people want in the Korean culture. For that reason, I don't worry about that either. I usually focus on the crow's feet and I saw improvements. It's not fully gone but the fine lines improved.

Pros:
* No noticeable scent while applying.
* Thin consistency.
* Light-weight.
* Easy to apply.
* Absorbs into the skin quickly.
* Great for all skin types.
* Leaves a nice, soft, smooth texture.

Cons:
* Can be costly.

Would repurchase: Yes.
