August Favorites

DermOrganic Intensive Hair Repair Masque: I received this in my goody bag when I attended iFabbo San Francisco Conference 2013. After my hair went through a lot of trauma (bleach and multiple hair dyes) the last several months, it's so damaged to the point that I cannot comb through it. I've tried different products and a lot of them weren't working. After using this product, my hair has become softer and easier to comb. It's not completely healthy but it's manageable. I'm just happy with that.

Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Daytime Facial Cream: I received this product to review which I will soon. I am so thankful I was introduced to this product. This might be my newest favorite daytime cream! Not only is it hydrating, I can tell my skin has been improving. It looks more youthful and alert.

Body Merry Age Defense Eye Cream: I received this product, as well as, wrote a thorough review. I hope you check it out. This eye cream has come in handy. I noticed the fine lines around my eyes has improved, as well as, under eye dark circle.

Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette: I'm a neutral girl when it comes to eye makeup. You can wear it wearable to work, as well as, smoke it out at nighttime. This palette comes in handy with the multiple colors. Not only are the colors pretty, it's pigmented and they blend well together.

L'Oreal Glossy Balm in My BabyDoll: It's a gorgeous, light pink with shine. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the lip balm. Not only is the color pretty, it's not drying. I've been reaching for this a lot in August.

August Finished Products
Gratiae Renewing Moisturizing Cream: I received this product to review. It's a great cream and it smells good! For a thin consistency product, it was extremely hydrating even for my dry skin. This product is great for every skin type and for all season.

Would repurchase: Maybe, but it can be costly.

Lip Stick in Sweet Sour Peach: I received this long time ago as a gift. I believe she got it from Daiso in Asia. The only reason it took me some time to use this product is because I have so many lip products. It's extremely hydrating and it smells good.

Would repurchase: Yes, but most likely not since I cannot find this product.

YoungBlood Mineral Primer: I received this product in my goody bag when I attended The Makeup Show LA 2013. YoungBlood is a great mineral company. The products I have tried from this brand has been great. This is a silicon-type primer and it really does cover up my huge pores on my nose. The foundation and in my case, BB Cream goes on smoothly and the pores are not noticeable on my nose.

Would repurchase: Possibly.

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream in No. 23: I bought a travel-sized BB Cream from Missha and received a sample kit. This was part of the sample kit. I'm glad it came in my color and the consistency of the BB Cream is medium. It's not too thin that it feels like a tint, and it's not thick that it feels like a mask. It covered up a lot of my imperfections but then again, I don't apply it thickly. If you want to apply thickly, it's build-able. It lasted all day on me, did my dry out my skin, and it oxidized to my skin color.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Eye's Chic Glue: I received this product to review long time ago. If you can tell, I don't wear false lashes that often. I think they're gorgeous but I feel like I'm not that good at applying them on myself. For that reason, I tend to reach for mascaras. Recently, I went through my drawer of falsies and found this glue. I realized it was time for me to throw it away. When I used this product, I loved it. I love how it came with a brush which is easier to apply onto the falsies than tubes. That's just my personal opinion and it held my lashes onto my lids the whole day.

Would repurchase: Possibly.

Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara: I received this product from Sephora Summer Starter Kit. I'm glad I did because it's a great mascara. Not only does it hold my straight, Asian lashes but it gives me volume. This has to be up there as one of my favorite mascaras that isn't waterproof. It's extremely hard to find mascaras that does not weight my lashes that isn't waterproof.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Josie Maran Model Citizen Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter: I received this product in a goody bag from Generation Beauty 2014. It's a thick body butter that melts into your skin. This might be thick for oily skin individuals but for someone like me who's dry, it was perfect. It was extremely moisturizing and my skin felt soft.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Neutrogena Professional Triple Repair Shampoo: I received this from BzzAgent. It's an alright shampoo. It actually takes some effort to lather it onto my root to mid-hair but once it's in my hair, it feels nice. It did not dry out my hair which is a big plus knowing my hair is dried out from bleaching. On the other hand, I don't think it did anything for my damaged hair. It just cleaned my hair.

Would repurchase: Maybe.

Neutrogena Professional Triple Repair Conditioner: I also received this from BzzAgent. I actually liked this product. You don't need much and I only conditioned from mid to end of my hair. It's very moisturizing and made my hair softer for a day. That's a big plus when it's already difficult to comb through it.

Would repurchase: Yes.

I've seen the same Sibu Beauty cream mentioned in other blogs too! I always think of this as a local brand because Sibu is the name of a town in Malaysia

I'm not too sure where the name Sibu comes from but I believe it's an Asian thing, but I could be wrong... hehe~
