Thoughts: When I first saw this through email, I was curious. I know matte lips isn't in as much as before but I still love my matte lips.
Here's a closer look at the container. It's supposed to be the color of the lip product.
Here's a closer look at the applicator.
Here's a swatch of the lip product on my hand.
Here's how the lip product looks on me.
Here's an overall look with Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eyeshadow Palette on the eyes.
Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's a noticeable scent while applying. It smells like vanilla and last for several seconds. I just sniffed the product and it does smell like vanilla. Secondly, I actually like the packaging. It's very slick and clean looking. It's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of very thick plastic. The top is also sturdy. I can feel a tight seal when I open/close the top. I cannot see it open or break unless you are extremely rough with the packaging. For that reason, it's travel-friendly. It's also easy to grab with your hand. Since it's so sleek, it's easy to throw in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. The doe foot applicator has a sharp tip which makes it easy to outline the lips. The rounder part makes it easy to fill in the remaining. Both sides of the applicator has a dip where it grabs the lip product. Since it grabs enough lip product, you don't need to re-dip into the product. Third, the consistency is liquidity-creamy. It reminds me of a lot of liquid lipsticks except you need to be careful how you pull the applicator. The first time I pulled the applicator the lip product dripped onto the table. I've never seen a lip product drip before. I just pulled the applicator and it dripped again. I'm not too sure why this product does that. I don't know if it's the particular product, this color, or I just got a bad batch. Anything is possible. I cannot wait to try the other color to see if it does the same thing. With that said, it's easy to use. It applies like liquid lipsticks and dries quickly. I would say it dries within minutes. Once it dries, it's matte. I don't know if it's completely transfer-proof because I do see some marks when I kiss my hand. On the other hand, there's barely any mark. Since it dries matte, you need to exfoliate your lips or else it'll show all the dry patches. Fourth, the color is peachy nude. It'll look great with smokey eye makeup. Personally on me I look dead. I don't think the color is for me. I even had someone tell me I look sick that day. With that said, it's good all year round. Pigmentation-wise it's up there. It's not the most pigmented but close enough. One thin layer was good enough. Lastly, it last a good amount of time. I was pretty impressed. Even with greasy food and wiping my mouth with napkin, the color did not come off. It's comfortable and kind of drying. I didn't see the white residue in the center of the lips, but I saw cracking in the center of the lips. Now that I know better, this product is best applied thinly. If you apply thickly, it'll crack easily. I tried removing with micellar water and I had to rub my lips to get some result. It's best to remove with oil more than anything else. I'm glad I got to try this product. I'm mixed with feelings. I definitely need to try another color before I decide if I really like this product.
