Before Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots became available, I knew I had to get one. I ended up getting the teal one.

First apply a clear base coat to prevent your nails from yellowing and to help your nail color last longer. With one sweep, paint the first line of nail polish up to the center of your nail starting from the base to the tip. For the cleanest look, be sure to leave a small space at the base of the nail. Then apply color to the rest of the nail.
Thoughts: When I first saw Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots at Target (it's a little cheaper than drugstore price), I had to grab one and test it out. I didn't know which one I wanted, teal or blue. I ended up getting teal. It's a gorgeous color.
Here's a closer look at the nail polish. It's very true to color. I also noticed from the Maybelline website, the polka dots look a lot smaller than it is in real life or maybe it's just me.
Here's a look at the brush. Comparison with OPI brush (medium-width), this is on the thin side. I actually think it would be a hot mess if the brush was on the thick side.
This is with a base, 2 coats of color, and Seche Vite Top Coat.

Now for my overall opinion... The consistency is on the medium where it's not too thick and not too thin. It's a perfect consistency and very easy to apply. There's no streaking and bubbles. The issue I had is the glitters/polka dots. There's a lot and it doesn't stink to the bottom. Therefore, you do not have to worry about spreading the glitters while applying. If you notice, the white is the biggest from the bunch. If they get to the edge (sides and tip), it looks off and it sticks out. With my fingers, I would touch my nails and you can tell it wasn't smooth if the white was not in place. Strangely, it would also chip easily if it was on the tip of the nails. For example, you can see my index finger (left nail from the picture) it's chipped on the bottom right tip. This picture was taken the morning after polishing my nails. Other than the glitters, the lasting power wasn't that great. I consider 5 days a decent amount for me. The nail polish lasted only 4 days before chipping.

Now for the most important thing people would ask, it was hard to get this off!!! I've dealt with glitters before but I would have to say this was one of the hardest to remove from my nails. Even with that, I still think this is gorgeous. A lot of people commented that it did not look like nail polish on my nails but stickers.

Pros:
* Medium consistency, not too thick and not too thin.
* Easy application.
* No streaking and bubbles.
* Lot of glitters and different sizes.
* Glitters don't stink to the bottom and spread all over the nails.
* Thin brush; easy to apply the glitters.

Cons:
* The big, white glitters can be an issue.
* The glitters on the edge can cause chipping.
* Lasting power is 4 days.
* Nightmare to remove polish.

Would repurchase: No, I'm happy with one.

It looks really pretty, but I totally feel you about the glitters being a pain to remove. >_<

I love the look of glitters, but hate the removal process. I sometimes wonder if it's worth it... hehe~

By the way, how was the laser treatment on your underarm? I only did 3 so far, but I definitely need to do more.

Nice idea! I didn't think about peel off base. Are you using glue or bought one from a brand?
