Couple of weeks ago, my nearest drugstore started carrying Maybelline The Elixir ColorSensational Collection.

I picked up two lip colors in Fuchsia Flourish (left) and Captivating Carnation (right). For this post, I will focus on Fuchsia Flourish.
Product Review: Maybelline The Elixir ColorSensational in #075 Fuchsia Flourish

Description from the website:
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

FOR BEST RESULTS
Apply lipcolor with applicator wand starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.
Thoughts: When I first heard about this lipgloss from Maybelline, it reminded me of L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Aqua Lip Lacquer (you can read my review on Rose On and On) and YSL Rouge Pur Courture Glossy Stain (you can read my review on Corail Aquatique). You can also read my post on the comparison of L'oreal and YSL.
When it comes to packaging, Maybelline is definitely nothing like L'Oreal and YSL. I also found it kind of cool that the inside is in the shape of a lipstick.
Here's a closer look at the applicator. This is probably the only thing similar to L'Oreal and YSL.
Here's the swatch of the lip color. This is not a stain like L'Oreal and YSL. This is more a lip color.
Here's how the lipgloss looks on me. It's very true to color.

Here's an overall look on me...

Now for my overall opinion... When you apply the lipgloss, there's no scent whatsoever. Out of curiosity I just smelled the applicator. It's definitely not fruity, my type of smell, but it's not bad. I'm not too sure what the smell is but it's very light. Secondly, people who are looking for lipglosses that aren't sticky. This is it! It glides on smoothly, and does not express the fine lines on the lips. My lips look smoother than my normal state. You can also apply on top of applied lip color and it'll still look nice. Third, Fuchsia Flourish has no glitters, sparkles, and so on. It's just a creamy texture that looks wet applied. In my opinion, it's a gorgeous texture. It looks kissable. The best part of this lipgloss is how opaque it is. It's very true to color. It's definitely not like L'Oreal and YSL. They're both stains, whereas, this is more of a lipgloss. If I had to compare this to any lipgloss, the first thing that comes to mind is MAC Cremesheen Glass. I have to say the quality of the lipgloss is similar not the packaging. Finally, the lasting power is pretty decent. It lasts until I need to eat/drink.

Pros:
* Maybelline; a brand I trust.
* Comes in a variety of colors.
* Unique packaging; inner bottle is in a shape of a lipstick.
* The colors from the packaging helps you distinguish them.
* Easy to apply; applicator comes with wide to fine tip.
* Glides on smoothly.
* Hides the fine line on the lips.
* Not sticky.
* No glitters/sparkles.
* Creamy texture.
* Pigmented; true to color.
* Lasting power until you eat/drink.

Cons:
* Slight scent that I'm not keen on but it's not noticeable when you apply it.
* The color isn't unique; you can find this in other lipglosses.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Why are you on a lippie ban? I wonder if I should be as well... hehe~ When I tried this lipgloss, I thought of you for some odd reason. ;)

That color is gorgeous and a very pretty, soft pink. I wasn't planning on buying these but now I think I want to try it. Good to know they're not too sticky and they have a creamy texture. I like those in a lip gloss product.
