I'm extremely behind, but at the same time not with Manicure Monday. The manicure I'm going to post is from June. After this post, I'm caught up. I've been giving my nails a rest and most likely couple more weeks. It's probably at the weakest I've seen! For this post, I'm going to talk about Butter London.
Since I did a thorough review of Butter London in Muggins, I will based this on that. I actually bought this from Nordstrom Rack about a month ago when they had a clearance sale on Butter London polishes.
Just like all Butter London polishes, it comes with an extra top.
Here's a closer look at the polish. I looked on their website and it seems like they don't carry this color anymore. No wonder it was in the clearance section.
I tend to consider OPI brushes as the perfect medium width brush, it's not too thick or thin. Butter London compared to OPI is more on the thin-medium. It's not that thin but it's not my perfect width.
I applied Orly Calcium Shield Basecoat, 2 coats of Butter London in Keks, and then topped it off with Butter London Hardwear P.D. Quick Topcoat.
Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the consistency of the product is on the medium. It's not to thick and it's not too thin. I found it easy to paint my nails. There's no bubbles and streaking, but I did find it bumpy. I'm wondering if it's because it's an old polish. I can't think of any other reason. Other than that, the polish went on smoothly and the thin-medium brush did not even bother me. Secondly, I noticed the polish dried to a matte. It's probably from their matte collection but I'm not 100% sure. I also think the color would be better for fall season than summer. It was a little bit darker than I expected. Third, I cannot tell you how long the polish lasted. I had to remove it two days later when I got a professional manicure. Lastly and while removing my polish, I noticed it stained my skin. It's one of those polishes you have to be careful how you remove it.
Would repurchase: No.

love the color. maybe add a drop of thinner to help the consistency? And blue polishes seem to looove staining! And no worries on being MIA =) life can get busy huh? I'm so behind its not even funny. hang in there!
I missed you Ahleessa! I haven't been posting as regularly either because I'm in Cincinnati with my family. Only blog when you feel like it doll. Blogging can get hectic. HaHaHa I love Butter London. Sorry it didn't work for you. It sounds like it's too thick (older). Try thinning it out.
I dislike thick polish!! Makes it hard for me to get creative! I have been wanting to try this brand. Glad you got back on the blogging house! I was having withdraws. Lol. Understandable that life happens. Hope all is well!
Thanks for the welcome! Were you having my blog withdrawals or am I just thinking highly of myself. It's probably the second... lol~ :X I also dislike thick polishes. It's just way too hard to paint my nails.
Awww~ I missed you too! I noticed you blogged a lot while I was away... hehe~ I hope you're having a blast visiting your family. I might have to thin it out but I'll wear it during the fall season. I feel it's too dark for summer season.
Thank you for understanding and always supporting me! I love it. :) I will have to thin it out and do what you say; use a thinner.
