Please don't forget to enter Aveeno Sun Giveaway. It ends August 5, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

When I went to The Makeup Show LA 2013, I received a small bag from YoungBlood. I know it's late but I always say better late than never.

I already reviewed the mascara, YoungBlood Outrageous Lashes Mineral Lengthening. For this post, I will focus on the Primer.
Product Review: YoungBlood Mineral Primer

Thoughts: When it comes to YoungBlood, I'm a big fan. They have amazing products and unfortunately, they don't seem that well known in the blogospheres. When I first received/saw this product, I thought it was typical silicon base or at least it looks that way.
Here's how the sample I received looks like.
Here's how the full size looks and this is taken from the website.
Both, the sample and full size, comes with a pump.
Here's how the primer looks on my hand.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's no scent whatsoever. Secondly, I thought it's similar to other silicon base primers but I have to say this is a little bit different. It has the silicon base feel but not as greasy as others. What I mean is that most silicon base primers, you can keep blending and you still feel the silicon-ness. That's how you know it's only covering the outside layers of your skin. For that reason, it's highly recommended to wash your skin at nights. You don't want to clog up your pores with the silicon primer. With this primer, you can feel the silicon but it dries. It doesn't have that silicon feel others leave if that makes sense. It's still highly recommended to wash your face. It also leaves a smooth layer and the makeup goes on top. These type of primers are great for people with big pores, as well as, oily skin. Even though I don't have oily skin, it helps with the big pores I have on my nose. My makeup doesn't sink into the pores. It just covers and leave a nice, smooth layer. Lastly, my makeup stays on all day but then again I don't have issues of makeup rubbing off throughout the day.

Pros:
* Mineral primer.
* Comes in a pump; sanitary safe.
* Product is pushed from the bottom instead of pumping from top to bottom.
* Not as greasy as other silicon primers.
* Leaves a smooth layer.
* Skin feels smooth.
* Covers imperfections.
* Lasts all day.
* Paraben free.
* Cruelty free.

Cons:
* Cannot find in stores.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Wow 41 bucks.... eeek 41 that's steep!!! Great review, tho. I have been trying to find a good primer tho. Ugh. Girl problems, lol. I hate the primers that leave my skin feeling siliconee. I have tried Pixi, Mac and Nyx.

Yeah $41 is steep but I guess if you want something good, you have to pay for it? I don't know... hehe~ I hope you find one that's really good and tell me when you do. ;)
