Please don't forget to enter NYX Face Set Giveaway. It ends November 22, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

I was fortunate to receive Formula X nail products from Influenster.

I took this picture from my Instagram. I already reviewed Formula X in TGIF (bottom right), Formula X Cleanse Xcel Nail Cleanser (bottom middle), and Formula X Prime Xcel Base Coat (bottom middle).
The nail polish was the chosen color for Formula X The System Xcel. At first, I was going to review The System Xcel as one post then I realized each product is sold separately. I already reviewed Formula X Cleanse Xcel Nail Cleanser (left) and Formula X Prime Xcel Base Coat (second from left). For this post, I will review the top coat (right).

Thoughts: Since I was first introduced to Formula X products, I'm always been intrigued especially nail treatments. I was excited to try this top coat. I haven't tried any from this brand until now.
This brand always come with an extra top.
Here's a closer look at the color. Compared to their cleanser and base coat, the top coat is clear.
Here's a closer look at the brush. Compared to my favorite OPI brush, the length is the same. The width, on the other hand, is slightly wider with a curve tip. OPI brush is straight.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I'm a huge fan of the brush. It's wide enough to quickly paint the nails. OPI usually takes me three strokes per nail. This top coat the brush is good enough for two strokes but I still do three. With that said, I enjoyed Formula X Prime Xcel Base Coat and Formula X Shine Xcel Top Coat brushes. They're easy and quick to use. I wasn't a big fan of Formula X Cleanse Xcel Nail Cleanser brush. The hair would separate every time I try to put it back into the container, as well as, while painting. I had to be careful how I put it back into the container. Secondly, I apologize. I thought each one was sold separately on the website. It looks like they sell Formula X Cleanse Xcel Nail Cleanser and Formula X Prime Xcel Base Coat by itself. They don't sell Formula X Shine Xcel Top Coat. It's okay it's cheaper to get The System Xcel. Third, the consistency is on the medium. It hasn't gotten thick yet but then again, I haven't even used half the top coat. I noticed most polishes get thick around half-way. My opinion might change half-way but so far I'm loving it. It's easy to use, and there's no streaking and bubbles. Fourth, the thing I look most when it comes to top coat is the drying factor. I'm such a busy body at home that I cannot just sit there and wait for it to dry. I'm always doing something even while painting. For that reason, I need the top coat to dry quickly. This dries within minutes. It's not the most fastest drying top coat but pretty decent. I could touch after couple of minutes and know it won't budge. Of course, you will get scratches if you hit something but that's with all top coats. It's expected. It takes time for the polish to harden on the nails. With that said, it leaves a nice smooth shiny polish. Lastly, it can be combination of things but I noticed the polishes last longer. Most polishes last five days on me. It has been lasting more than five days which is a huge plus for me. From my experience, you will not lose with any of the Formula X treatments (base and top coat).

Pros:
* Huge fan of Formula X treatment products.
* Wide brush.
* Quick strokes on each nails.
* Easy to use.
* Medium consistency.
* No streaking and bubbles.
* No thickening yet.
* Dries quickly.
* Leaves a smooth, shiny polish.
* Polish lasts longer than five days.
* Paraben-free.

Cons:
* Comes with two tops; waste of space.
* Not sold individually; need to purchase the set The System Xcel.

Would repurchase: Yes.
