In March, I went to Lifestyle Bloggers Conference 2014.

At the end of the VIP Kick-off Party, we received a goody bag full of goodies. JustFab not only gave us a bag, they gave us one of their nail polishes.
This is PaintFab in Auber-Genius. Since I did a thorough review of PaintFab in Modern Mauvels, I will base this on that.
Here's a closer look at the color. The website describes it as "fiercely fresh and fabulous, this deep eggplant hue is rich and radiant. Finished off with a pearlescent shimmer, it's the ultimate polish for the daring glamour gal." I sort of agree with the description. I definitely think it's deep eggplant hue but I don't really see the pearlescent shimmer.
Here's a closer look at the brush. Compared to my favorite OPI brush, the length is the same but the width is thinner. I would say it's on the thin side when it comes to width.
I applied OPI Nail Envy in Original, Formula X Prime Xcel Base Coat, 2 coats of PaintFab in Auber-Genius, and then topped it off with Formula X Shine Xcel Top Coat.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I don't know if I got a defected one but the brush was janky. The brush wasn't straight and the tip was slanted. It made it hard to paint around the cuticles and sides. I might not be good at painting around the cuticles but I think I'm pretty okay with the sides. I had trouble with this brush. Secondly, the consistency is medium. It went on nicely and I was able to take my time without worrying if it'll dry while painting. With that said, it went on smoothly and there were no streaking and bubbles. Third, the color is gorgeous. It's a great fall/winter color. It's dark close to being black with hint of purple; eggplant as they describe it. There is a slight shimmer but it's not noticeable with the naked eye. I didn't notice the shimmer until I saw the picture above of my nails. I also got a lot of compliments on this nail color. Lastly, it started chipping on the sides of the tip on the third day. It wasn't that bad but it was noticeable. As days went on, it did chip a little bit more but it wasn't that noticeable. Other than chipping on the tips, I didn't see any shrinkage.

Would repurchase: maybe.
