Thoughts: I wasn't going to do a thorough review since I have reviewed the original Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch. I changed my mind after reading the review. The pictures look tacky (I have evolved over the years), and they're different in some ways. The original has SPF 20, whereas, the Electro Lip Balms don't. The Electro Lip Balms also has Vitamin E. Instead I will compare them when I get the chance.
I love that they have not changed the packaging whatsoever since they first came out. I hate when a product changes packaging either they get bigger, smaller, or something else. I understand products develop over the years but when you store them next together, they just look off.
The only thing that has changed is that the container is black. I actually prefer it black over colors. It looks more classic to me, whereas, kiddish.
Now for the color of the lip balm... Here's a closer look. It's very true to color.
Here's a swatch of the color. It looks sheer, but I think it depends on the pigmentation of your lips.
Here's how it looks on me. Again, it looks sheer.
Here's how it looks overall on me.

Now for my overall opinion... When the original Baby Lips came out, I became a huge fan. I love how hydrating it is, at the same time, it has some color. It's especially nice for people who don't like wearing lipsticks and lipglosses, but want some pigmentation on their lips. The one thing I also loved about the original Baby Lips is that it had SPF. It's especially nice for someone like me who's allergic to certain sunscreen chemicals. Knowing there's a lip balm that doesn't carry those chemicals, is a big plus especially since most lip balms carry them.

When I saw this at my local drugstore, I was extremely excited and my first choice was Strike A Rose. It looks like a gorgeous pinkish-coral color but unfortunately, it's not. It's more a pinkish-reddish-orange or at least on me. It's a nice color overall, but I don't extremely love it on me. By the way, I have very light pink lips. Most lip products show up on me compared to medium to darker pigmented lips. If you have dark pigmented lips, you will probably get sheer to no color. Other than the color, it smells heavenly. It's definitely fruity but I cannot pinpoint the exact smell. I want to say raspberry, but I'm not 100% sure.

Just like the original Baby Lips, it's extremely moisturizing. It has Shea Butter and Vitamin E. Both components that hydrate the skin and in this case, the lips. Within the day my lips improve, as well, I don't ever feel the dry residue in the middle of the lips. That's a big plus for me! The color is also long lasting until I have to eat or drink something.

Pros:
* Packaging; classic looking.
* Smells heavenly; fruity scent.
* Shea Butter.
* Vitamin E.
* Hydrating.
* Dryness improves within usage.
* No dry, white residue.

Cons:
* No SPF.

Would repurchase: Yes!

I love the colour theme of these Baby Lips lip balm! :D I've always been mildly fascinated by the range but never got around to buying any. If these will be brought in to Malaysia, I think I have to get them! Thanks for the review~ ^^

Sorry to hear they don't carry this in Malaysia! Maybelline is missing out. These are so worth it. :)
