When I saw the newest lip display for Rimmel, I knew I had to grab one. There was two that really stood out to me. I couldn't decide which I one I wanted badly. I ended up getting both. I got Celestial on the left and Nova.

For this post, I will concentrate on Celestial.
Product Review: Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in #101 Celestial

Where to purchase: drugstore, mass merchandiser and online at us.rimmellondon.com
Price: $6.29 for 0.18 fl oz/ 5.5 mL

Made in England

Description from the website: It's the End of Colour as you know it! The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine. It's neither a lipstick nor a gloss... It's BIGGER than both! LONG LIVE THE COLOUR!
Thoughts: What attracted me to the lip lacquer is the packaging! It looks very professional, at the same time, it draws me in. For that reason, I was extremely excited to try this out!
Here's how the applicator looks. If you noticed there's a dent in the center of the applicator. The dent helps grab the lacquer. It grabs enough that you don't have put the applicator back in the tube to get some more.
Here's a swatch of the lip lacquer. It's very true to color. I also think it's more on the rosy side.

Now for how it looks on me...
In the picture, it looks like a pinky-nude but it really isn't.
Here's an overall look on me. This is more true to color!

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I'm not too keen on the scent. It smells rubbery. It's not the most appealing scent whatsoever but thankfully, the scent only lasts for a minute. Secondly, this product is extremely pigmented. The website say it's neither a lipstick nor lipgloss. It's a lipstick with lipgloss application. For that reason, I like this product. There are times I want to wear pigmented lipsticks but having dry lips doesn't help. I tend to get the white residue in the center of my lips. For that reason, I wear a lot more lipglosses than lipsticks. Most of my lipglosses are on the sheer side. It's great to have a combination of both! Third and speaking of drying products, it's not the most moisturizing product. It does dry out my lips but after many hours. I also love that the lip lacquer is on the shiny side. It's not shiny like a lipgloss but more a lipstick shiny. Lastly, it's long lasting. It lasts until I eat or drink something like most lip products I own.

Pros:
* Love the packaging; it's appealing.
* Sturdy.
* Travel-friendly.
* Applicator comes with a dent; grabs more product.
* Pigmented.
* Comes with a wide range of colors.
* Pigmented.
* Mixture of lipstick and lipgloss; quality of a lipstick but applies like a lipgloss.
* Not extremely drying.
* Shiny.
* No glitters or sparkles.
* Not sticky.
* Long lasting until you eat/drink.

Cons:
* Smells like rubber.
* Not a hydrating product.

Would repurchase: Yes, I'm thinking of purchasing other colors.

Aw, that's a bummer it smells like rubber! The color looks very sophisticated on you, though.
I was curious about them myself but I think I would pass and maybe get another L'Oreal Wet Shine (which I shouldn't really, either).
Thanks for the review!

Even though it smells like rubber for a minute or two, I'll still get this. I like it that much! I've been debating if I should get the neutral browns this week.
