Thoughts: Not only was I excited to see Lush at Beauty Con Industry Night, I was excited to try their cleanser!
I actually found it cool they mention the person who made my cleanser, as well as, the expiration date. By looking at the dates, the product is good for 3 months or was good.
Here's how the product looks.
Here's a closer look at the cleanser.
Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the reason why I don't purpose Lush products is because they expire before I even get a chance to finish them or even get close. This product is a perfect example. It's end of January and I only used half. The sad part is that I used it way past the expiration date. Secondly and out of curiosity, I wanted to see what happens when the product gets bad. I know it sounds nasty, but I enjoy experimenting. I noticed this week the product had orange/reddish spots. That was a sign that it's time for me to change cleanser.
Now I will go more into the product and the first thing I will talk about is scent. I've heard a mixture of people's opinion. To me, it smells like cinnamon. It's a very strong scent some people might not like it. I personally like the smell. It's refreshing but it is strong. The scent even lingers on the towel the next morning after washing your face with the cleanser. The product can be a little discriminating. It says cleanser but on the website, it says exfoliating cleanser. It's not good to exfoliate twice a week. Thinking it's only a cleanser, I actually used it on the other days that I did not exfoliate. So basically, I exfoliated the whole week since I started this product. Even exfoliating everyday, it's not rough on the skin. It's very gentle and feels good. It left a smooth feeling and my skin felt a little bit more hydrated than other cleansers I have used in the past. Now I can see why people liked this product and brought it back permanently.
Pros:
* Natural ingredients.
* Noticeable expiration date.
* Smells like cinnamon.
* Gentle on the skin.
* Skin feels soft and hydrated.
* Recyclable pots; they give you a free mask for 5 Lush pots.
Cons:
* Product is only good for 3 months.
* Strong scent.
Would repurchase: Maybe, but I am leaning towards yes.
