Wet n Wild ColorIcon Eyeshadow Palette in The Naked Truth

When I went to my drugstore several weeks ago, I saw the Wet n Wild displays. I picked up two items. I already reviewed their MegaSlicks Balm Stain in A Stiff Pink. For this post, I will review their ColorIcon Eyeshadow Palette 5 Pan.

Where to purchase: drugstores, mass merchandiser, and online at wnwbeauty.com
Price: $3.99 (cannot remember exact price) for 0.21 oz/ 6 g

Made in China

Description from the website: Five amazing shades in one convenient package for an unbeatable price! Each eyeshadow palette features five distinct shades that can be mixed and matched to create a unique look for every style. From matte to ultra-shimmer, these long-lasting, highly pigmented formulas are satiny-smooth for crease resistant wear. Enriched with Macadamia Oil, each shadow provides continuous moisture that improves the appearance of the delicate eye area.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: When I saw the display, I knew I had to get The Naked Truth. It's my typical colors and I knew this was a wearable everyday color. If you don't like neutral colors, they have 4 other palettes in this collection (purple, blues, grays, and colorful). I'm not too sure but by the looks of the website, this is a permanent line.
Here's a closer look at the eyeshadow palette. It comes with 5 neutral colors. They even list the names for each shadow that you can use on your specific eyes.
Here's a closer look at one of the eyeshadows, Crease.
Just like all Wet n Wild eyeshadow palettes, it does not come with a mirror. It does come with 2 applicators.
Here's a swatch of the eyeshadows. From left to right and then bottom, Browbone, Base, Definer, Eyelid, and Crease. This is just my opinion but I doubt I'll use the Browbone on the specific area. It's the most glittery shadow of the bunch.

Now for a look I did with the eyeshadows...
I used the Browbone ad the eyelid color, Eyelid color as the crease, Crease as the definer, and Base as the browbone. It cracks me up I did not follow any of the names.
Here's an overall look.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the eyeshadows are easy to use and apply. You can make it smokier if you use the definer first and then apply the lighter colors on top. This is a versatile brown eyeshadow palette. With that said, would I say the colors are unique? No, you can find these colors in other palettes as well as singles. If you don't own any neutral palettes, I would say this is a cheap alternate. Secondly, I never found Wet n Wild palettes travel-friendly. They break easily compared to most palettes. For that reason, I will not risk carrying this palette around. Lastly, it's long lasting and lasted all day. It's also creaseless.

Pros:
* Versatile neutral palette.
* Easy to blend.
* Smooth application.
* Does not crease.
* Long lasting; lasts all day.

Cons:
* Colors can be found in other singles/palettes.
* Not travel-friendly.

Would repurchase: Maybe.

Hi Ahleessa! Thank you for your review. I just bought my very first Wet n Wild products yesterday! I didn't buy the eyeshadows palette though. The colors don't seem very pigmented..

I have some wet n wild shadows in my "to try and review" pile (ok at this point its a box) and I can't wait. They seem like a great way to try new colors, or have a backup for touchups at work or in the car. Love the neutral colors and the look you did =)

Oh, what Wet n Wild product did you buy? This isn't the best palette but it's not bad for everyday look for minimal eye look.

I took a nail polish, a blush and an eyebrow kit. I love all of them so far! I'll try the eyeshadows next time :)

They have an eyebrow kit? I didn't know that. I might check it out after I finish all the ones I have. Thanks for telling me! :)

You're welcome :) Maybe the eyebrow kit is new, I have no idea!
