A good friend gifted me a body wash and body lotion from Lush last year. I already reviewed Lush Skin Sin Body Lotion. For this post, I will review Lush Slammer Shower Gel.

Product Review: Lush Slammer Shower Gel

Where to purchase: Lush stores and online at lushusa.com
Price: $9.95 for 3.3 fl oz/ 100 mL

Made in Canada

Description on the front: Wakey wakey! This zingy lime, lemon, fresh sea water and honey shower gel is for people who need to be alert and awake RIGHT NOW.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: When I received both the body wash and lotion, I was extremely excited. I hardly use Lush products because they expire way too quick for my taste. I tend to be slow using up the products for some odd reason especially body washes. I think I use way too little or other people use way too much.
Anyways, here's a swatch of the body wash on a cotton pad. As you can tell, it's the exact color from the bottle.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the website says the body wash smells like lime. I partially agree it smells like lime but it isn't completely sour. It has a sweet scent and I'm not too sure what it is. Secondly, I was okay with the body wash being orange. I was also okay with the part you squeeze onto the sponge being orange. I did not know you actually have to lather the area you have squeezed or else the color orange will remain on the sponge. It takes some work compared to most body washes I have used in the past, but it isn't that bad. When you lather the area, it will foam and you will get a creamy texture. For that reason, you don't need much of this product.. Lastly, it does a good job of cleaning or at least I feel clean.

Pros:
* Partially smells like lime but it has a sweet scent as well.
* Rich, creamy consistency.
* A little goes a long way.

Cons:
* Online purchase only.
* Scent does not linger after the shower.
* Takes some work to lather the product.

Would repurchase: Maybe.

This one smells yummy. I also tend to not use Lush since they expire quickly. If i spend that much I like to save it and use it when I need a pick me up, and they tend to expire before I can use them =(

I have this cleanser from Lush. I'm supposed to use it for 3 months only. It was such a waste, because there was so much product left. I used it longer than required and I noticed it turned yucky... ewww~ I doubt I'll use a product unless they last longer than a year... hehe~

I'm sure they're more expensive in Jakarta than in the US. Do you know how much they run for? I don't blame you. I think people are turned off with the expiration date. I know I am. :/

We can't find Lush in Jakarta. But we do in France and this shower gel costs €9,95 for 100 ml (about $13.50).

Oh wow, it's more expensive in France compared to the US. Now I can understand why you don't want to purchase in Jakarta/France. I feel the same way with Korean products. It's so much cheaper there that it turns me off to purchase here (3X more here).
