Thoughts: When I first received this product, I wasn't too sure what to expect. To be honest, I wasn't too sure what it did that was different from other primers.
Here's a closer look at the opening.
Here's a swatch of the primer on my hand.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's a slight scent while applying. Every time I apply this primer, I think of peppermint. I just sniffed the product and there's no scent whatsoever. How strange I smell it while applying but not from the tube. Secondly, I like the packaging. The color combination is pretty. I like the transition from purple to white. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of squeezable, thick plastic. The top is also sturdy. I can feel a tight seal when I open and close. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For this reason, it's travel-friendly. It's also small enough to throw in your purse and bag. Third, the consistency reminds me of silicon but at the same time lotion-like. I don't think it's fully silicon or at least it doesn't feel like other silicon primers. With that said, it's easy to use. I put small drop on my hand and dot all over my face. Then I pat it in. It easily spreads and absorbs into the skin. This is another reason why I don't think it's silicon. Most silicon products lay on top of the skin. StriVectin primer gets absorbed into the skin or at least it feels that way. It leaves a smooth, soft texture that isn't greasy. When I apply foundation right after, it spreads easily and it's easy to apply onto the skin. The thing I tend to look first is how the foundation applies on and around my nose. I have huge pores on my nose and some foundations express the pores more so than I like. If the pores look small or not noticeable, it's a good thing. This definitely covers my pores, and the foundation looks smooth on and around my nose. One of the description I noticed is that it seals skincare benefits. I cannot say if this is true or not. You have to constantly use this. I used to wear makeup in daily basis when I first started working at my new job. Now I hardly wear makeup to work. I just cannot wake up early enough to put on makeup. For this reason, I cannot say if it improves the skin since I don't use it often.  Lastly, it lasted all day. I did not see any creasing on and around the nose. The foundation never fell into the pores. With that said, it's light-weight and extremely comfortable. I'm glad I got to try this primer. I love it a lot! Anything that helps my foundation look smoother is a plus.
