Thoughts: When I received an email on Christie Brinkley's makeup line, I had to find out more. I think she looks amazing for her age! I wanted to know what she wears so I can at least look quarter as good as her.
Here's a closer look at the packaging. It has Christie Brinkley written on the side of the bottom tube. I didn't take a picture but there's a logo on top of the top.
Here's a closer look at the color.
Here's a swatch of the color on my hand.
Here's how the color looks on me.
Here's an overall look. I have Too Faced Chocolate Gold Eye Shadow Palette on the eyes.
Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's no noticeable scent while applying. I just sniffed the product and there's no scent whatsoever. Secondly, I like the packaging. The color is pretty, shiny, and looks like it comes from a high-end brand. With that said, it's well-made and sturdy. It's made out of firm plastic. The top is also sturdy. It makes a clicking noise when I close the top. I also can feel a tight seal when I open and close. I cannot see it open or break unless you are rough with the packaging. For that reason, it's travel-friendly. It's small enough to carry in your purse, bag, and even your pocket. Third, the consistency is creamy. It goes on smoothly and there's no tugging on the lips. If you're looking for a matte lipstick, this isn't it but you can matte it out. You just need to blot the lips with tissue paper or you can blend the lipstick with your finger. It is up to the individual. I tend to grab towards matte lipsticks but this particular lipstick isn't that shiny. It leaves a gorgeous, shiny, creamy texture. It has no glitters whatsoever. With that said, it's easy to use. It's also light-weight. It doesn't feel like you're wearing lipstick. Fourth, the color isn't something I tend to reach for but I actually liked it. It brought color to my face. I could tone it down by not applying a lot and make it an everyday color. If I want brighter color, then I will apply one layer. With that said, it's great all year round but I can see myself wearing this more so for fall/winter. Pigmentation-wise I was impressed. It's pretty pigmented. The pictures above were one layer on me. If you're darker than me, it might look more neutral than it does on me. Lastly, it lasted until I ate. I have a tendency to wipe my mouth after eat meal. For that reason, lipsticks don't last that long on me. With that said, it's extremely comfortable and not drying at all. I did not see any white residue in the center of the lips. To be honest, it's more hydrating than anything. My lips felt comfortable and moist. I'm glad I got to try this product. Not only that, I was introduced to Christie Brinkley makeup line!
