Thoughts: Highlighters are one of the biggest thing at the moment. We all want that glowy/dewy look. I know I do! For that reason, I was excited to review this product.
Here's how it looks in the inside. The outside it a clear, sturdy plastic with shiny silver lines. Depending on the angle, the silver reflects different colors. You can tell from the picture above.
Here's a closer look at the highlighter.
Here's a swatch of the highlighter on my hand.
Here's how the highlighter looks on the top of my cheeks.
Here's an overall look. I have the highlighter on the top of the cheeks and bridge of my nose. I also have Urban Decay liquid lipstick on the lips.
Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I like the packaging. It's simple and cute. I like the shiny lines that reflect different colors depending on the angle you look at it. It makes it stand out. It's also very well-made and sturdy. The top is sturdy too. I like that it makes a clicking noise when I close the top. With that said, I cannot see it open unless you open it manually. I also cannot see it break unless you are extremely rough with the packaging. For that reason, it's travel-friendly. It's not tiny but it is flat. It's easy to toss in your pursue/bag but you do have to carry a brush with this product. It doesn't come with a brush. Secondly, the consistency is velvety soft. It feels good in-between my fingers. It feels like a baby skin. I hate to admit this but I wasn't too sure what to expect. I was thinking it'll be loose and the powder will be all over the place. This highlighter is so compacted that I barely see loose powder. On the other hand, a lot of compacted powders are hard to grab. This isn't. It's really easy to use. I just dip the brush into the product and apply it on certain areas of my face like the high points of my cheeks and the bridge/tip of my nose. For a $6 highlighter, this is really impressive! Third, the color is really gorgeous. It's pinkish pearl with small glitters. Depending on the angle, I can see pink, opal, pearl, and so on. Even though it has small glitters, you cannot see it on the face. It doesn't give that glittery look. It gives a more sparkly, glowy, dewy look. It'll look good on all skin types. With that said, it'll look great with cool tone makeup like pinks and purples. It'll also be great for the night out. I cannot see this with warm tone makeup. When it comes to pigmentation, it's pretty decent. I think it's pigmented. I notice the results on the second layer. Compared to my expensive brand highlighters, the results are the same. Lastly, it lasted all day on me. It looked like when I first applied it. Since I have dry skin, most products last all day on me and doesn't look oily. I hardly see products come off. For a $6 product, this is pretty decent. It's pretty comparable to more expensive brands.
