I received some samples from Total SkinCare Solutions. If you're like me and have never heard of them, they are a natural skin care line.

"There is nothing to be found in a Total SkinCare product that does not come from nature. Our products stimulate and accelerate the skins natural healing processes because they are made with pure, active ingredients, plant extracts, and blended with the highest quality essential oils.

We believe skin has problems when it is out of balance; our natural products will help balance your skin and restore its radiance. Too often, people are swayed by chemical treatments and costly surgical options instead of opting for natural remedies to cure their skin woes.

For serious skin care, don't discount the power of natural products - they're better for your skin than rough chemical agents and they'll spare you the unnecessary cost and discomfort of multiple cosmetic surgeries. You'll see a marked difference i your skin's tone and complexion within a few short weeks. Our products accomplish this by:

* Encouraging new skin cell growth
* Stimulating collagen and elastin production

* Improving the skin's ability to protect and improve itself"

I took this from their website. They said it better than I ever could!

They gave me Rapid Recovery Under Eye Cream and New Beginning Anti Wrinkle Cream. For this post, I will focus on their eye cream.
Product Review: Total SkinCare Solutions Rapid Recovery Vitamin K Cream

Where to purchase: online at total-skincare-solutions.com
Price: $34 for 0.5 oz (sample I received is 1/8 oz)

Description from the website:
Vitamin K Cream With Arnica To Relieve Tired Eyes
A good quality eye cream is a vital weapon in battling crow's feet, fine lines, dark circles, dryness and under eye puffiness. Unlike the rest of your face, the skin below your eyes does not contain moisturizing oil glands. Many dermatologists suggest using a separate cream or serum formulated specifically for the eye area.

Facial moisturizers are not recommended as a replacement for eye cream because most contain ingredients that are too potent for under eye skin. Additionally, the molecules in eye creams are smaller than those used in facial or body moisturizers, allowing eye cream to penetrate quickly and effectively.

As we age, the tender skin around the eyes produces less elastin and collagen. The dermis becomes thinner and drier -- resulting in the formation of fine lines and under eye wrinkles. As your skin changes, so do your skin care needs.

How to Get Rid of Dark Circles
If you have dark under eye circles, chances are, you've been told more than once that you "looked tired," but fatigue isn't the only cause of this problem. Dark circles, or eye bags can also be a hereditary condition in which your skin is deeply pigmented - or, simply a result of getting older.

If those circles are the inevitable result of aging or broken blood vessels. Dermatologist Andrea Cambio, MD, supports the benefits of vitamin K, which reduces the coagulation of blood in the area diminishing the appearance of those circles. Also, we include hyaluronic acid in our vitamin k cream, it will plump the skin, which helps make the discoloration less noticeable.

How to Get Rid of Puffy Eyes, or Eye Bags
Want to send those under eye bags packing? First,  you must determine the cause. Allergies, fluid retention, poor sleeping habits and aging all lead to puffy peepers. If your excess baggage is caused by allergies, consult with a physician.

If your under eye bags are the result of your lifestyle or aging, our eye cream also includes Arnica Montana - a botanical extract that stimulates circulation and reduces inflammation.
Ingredients:
Purified Water, Jojoba Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Squalane, Hyaluronic Acid, Arnica Montana, Vitamin K1 (Phytonadione), Oxido Reductases, Soy Peptide, Hydrolyzed Rice Bran Extract, Laureth-7, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Polyacrylamide, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Oil of Kumquat.
Thoughts: When I received these samples, I wasn't to sure what to think about them. I have never heard of this brand, but at the same time, I was intrigued. I feel that a lot of natural products on the blogosphere are not represented which is a shame. From my experience, natural products have been better for my skin than the well known ones in the market.
Edit:
I took this from the website. Here's the original packaging not the sample that I received.
Here's how the product looks like.
Here's a closer look at the eye cream on my hand.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the scent is really strong but in a good way. I can't distinguish the scent. It kind of smells fruity but it could also be flowery. All I could say is that it smells heavenly. Secondly, the consistency of the eye cream is on the thick side. If you're not looking for thick eye cream, this isn't for you. I actually like the consistency and a little goes a long way. Since it's thick, it actually takes some time to absorb onto the skin. This is where I like thick consistency. Since it takes awhile to absorb, I tend to take more time patting and massaging the area. This is actually good for your skin. I'm circulating on areas most people don't spend time on. Once it's absorbed, the skin feels smooth and it's slight shinier than before. The shininess gives my skin a rejuvenate look. Lastly and the best part, I noticed my skin has been loving this product. I noticed less fine lines around the eye area, and forehead. Yes, I apply eye cream on my forehead. I noticed a lot of fine lines and deep wrinkles. I learned through the years eye creams help in that area more so than moisturizers or at least for me.

Pros:
* Natural product.
* Smells heavenly.
* Thick consistency.
* Spend more time circulating the eye area.
* Slight shininess; rejuvenate look.
* Diminishes fine lines.
* Helps deep lines.
* Skin looks more youthful.

Cons:
* Hard to find in stores.

Would repurchase: Yes.
Rating:  4.5/5 Tobey's Paws

I was really surprised at the amount given (what in the world is this 0.125oz thing?!) but then it came to me that it is an eye cream... Does the actual size come in a plastic pot too?
