When Lucie from From Paris to Jakarta asked if NYX Butter Lipsticks are similar to Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters, it gave me a great opportunity to test the products.

Where to purchase:
* NYX Butter Lipsticks = ULTA, CVS, Target, and online at nyxcosmetics.com
* Revlon Lip Butters = ULTA, drugstores, mass merchandiser, and online at revlon.com
Price:
* NYX Butter Lipsticks =  $6 for 0.16 oz/ 4.5 g
* Revlon Lip Butters = $8.99 for 0.09 oz

Description from the websites:
* NYX Butter Lipsticks = The unique texture seems to melt onto the lips, giving full, yet lightweight coverage with a luxurious satin finish.
* Revlon Lip Butters = SHINY COLOR + BUTTERY BALM 94% of women felt lips were softer smoother and instantly hydrated.
Thoughts: I never thought about comparing the two lip products, but it was fun experimenting. Thank you for a great post Lucie! :)
First of all, I have a thorough review of NYX Butter Lipstick in Pops. Unfortunately, I have no review of Revlon Lip Butters and I have no idea why I don't. When they first came out, I was obsessed with Revlon Lip Butters. I bought quite a lot and probably own about 10 of them. :/

I want to compare the packaging. They are different in many ways.
* NYX Butter Lipsticks:
- More weight; 0.16 oz
- Tube has round shape.
- Slanted, typical lipstick shape.
* Revlon Lip Butters:
- Less weight; 0.09 oz.
- Tube has square shape.
- Slanted, round shape.
Here's a swatch of NYX Butter Lipstick in Pops on the left and Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait on the right.

* NYX Butter Lipsticks:
- Comes only in one type of texture; creamy with no sparkles/glitters.
- Medium pigmentation; it could be from sheer to slight pigmented depending on how you layer it.
- Not sticky at all.
- Feels like lip balm.
* Revlon Lip Butters:
- Comes in a variety of textures; creamy and sparkles/glitters.
- Medium pigmentation; medium to heavy pigmented depending on how you layer it.
- Slight stickiness.
- Feels like a combination of lipstick to lipgloss.

Now for how I look in both lip products:
* NYX Butter Lipstick in Pops:

* Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait:

My overall opinion... I hate to say this. I like them both but I think I like NYX Butter Lipsticks slight better.

Pros:
* NYX Butter Lipsticks:
- More product for less price.
- No Scent.
- Not drying; semi-hydrating.
- Long lasting until you eat or drink.
* Revlon Lip Butters:
- No Scent.
- Not drying; semi-hydrating.
- Long lasting until you eat or drink.

Cons:
* NYX Butter Lipsticks:
- Hard to find in stores.
* Revlon Lip Butters:
- Less product for more price.

Would repurchase: Yes, for NYX Butter Lipsticks.
