In December when I went to my drugstore, some of the Nicole by OPI was on clearance. I know I own 1 or 2 nail polishes from this brand, but I couldn't remember my thoughts. Times like this it's best to refer back to my blog but I had no review on this brand. For that reason, I purchased one.

Product Review: Nicole by OPI in Back In My Gloria Days... , Modern Family Collection

Where to purchase: drugstore, mass merchandiser, and online at nicolebyopi.com
Price: around $7.99 for 15 mL/ 0.5 fl oz

Made in USA

Thoughts: While looking at the nail polishes from Nicole by OPI, I couldn't decide on the color. I actually sat on the floor and searched on my phone. I fell in love with swatches of this nail polish.
Here's a closer look at the nail polish.
Here's a look at the brush. The width is comparable to OPI which I consider as medium, but I do notice it's shorter than OPI not by much.
Here's how it looks on my nails. I took this picture outside in the sun. I should have taken one indoors to show you the difference. My bad!

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I believe it's a discontinued color. It's from their Modern Family Collection after the T.V. Show. Even though it's discontinued, I believe you can still find it on Amazon and eBay. Secondly, I have mix feelings when it comes to the packaging. I think it's cool that the shape is so unique. I don't even know how to describe the shape. It's round in the back and sticks out in the front. Okay, don't read that wrong. :P Even though the shape is so unique and have never seen anything like it, it doesn't look nice stored with other polishes. The other polishes is even with same space all around. With Nicole by OPI, there's a lot of space in the front. It just looks uneven and weird next to other polishes especially if you're looking from the top (my polishes are stored in a drawer). That's just my opinion. Third, it's easy to apply. I know some people don't like OPI brushes but I actually like them. It's quick on the nails compared to thin brushes, as well as, I find it easy to paint around the cuticles. Nicole by OPI is no exception. It's the same quality brush as OPI even though it's a little bit shorter. The consistency of the polish is on the medium, it's not too thin that it's dripping and not too thick that I find it hard to paint. It's a perfect consistency and there's no streaking. Fourth, I was kind of disappointed with the color or should I say swatches on people's blog. Like I said, I searched online before purchasing this color. From people's swatches, it was a pretty medium dark with sparkles. There was no metallic sheen in their swatches whatsoever! If you look at my swatch, there's some metallic sheen. You only see the sparkles outside in the sun. Indoors, it's all metallic and no sparkles. I don't know why I trusted the swatches on people's blog. You can tell with your naked eyes the nail polish is metallic. You can see the duo-tone but there's none on the nails. To end this post, the lasting power is 5 days. That's how long most nail polishes last on me which is a decent amount of time.

Pros:
* Comes in a variety of colors.
* Packaging has an unique shape; will stand out compared to other polishes.
* Consistency is medium; not too thin and not too thick.
* Medium width brush comparable to OPI.
* Easy to apply.
* No streaking.
* Lasted 5 days before chipping on the tips.

Cons:
* Might be hard to find in stores; I believe it's a discontinued color.
* Looks odd when stored.

Would repurchase: Maybe
