I hope this day is full of blessed time with family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving!!! :)

About some time ago around a month, I bought Revlon PhotoReady Primer + Shadow Palette in Metropolitan.
I liked it so much that I bought another palette in Graffiti.
Product Review: Revlon PhotoReady Primer + Shadow in #501 Metropolitan and #510 Graffiti

Where to purchase: drugstores, mass merchandiser, and online
Price: $7.99 for 0.1 oz/ 2.8 g

Made in Canada

Thoughts: In all honesty, I bought the first palette (Metropolitan) out of curiosity more than anything. I definitely do not need more eyeshadows, as well as, the packaging completely did not attract me. It's not bad looking, but it's not the best either.
Here's how Metropolitan looks inside. The top three colors are eyeshadows, and the bottom two are primer and glitter. From the back of the palette it's sparkle top coat, but I call it glitter.
Here's a closer look of Metropolitan. If you're looking for matte eyeshadows, this isn't it. Most of the colors are shimmery except for the glitter. The primer is shimmery as well.
Here's a swatch of Metropolitan. The farthest left one is the primer, the three middle are the eyeshadow colors from top to bottom, and the right one is the glitter. This palette depending on what colors you use is on the peachy-brown side.
It also comes with two sponges.

Now for my opinion on this palette... First of all, I'm not too keen about the packaging of the eyeshadow colors. I understand the bottom one is suppose to be the lid of the eye, the middle is the crease, and the top is the brow. I just feel like the shadows are not evenly distributed, as well as, it's hard to reach in the tiny spaces of the corner with a brush especially the middle eyeshadows. For the primer and glitter, I actually don't mind. It's easy to use the brush and I know most people will not use the glitter as much.

Secondly, I like the texture of the colors including the primer and glitter. They're all velvety smooth and applies easily. If you apply the primer from this palette, the shadows are a lot smoother than by itself. The primer definitely makes a difference. For one thing, you need less shadows for the color to pop than itself. It takes less application with the primer.
It also gives the shadow more a multi-colored effect. The left one in the picture is the primer and middle eyeshadow color, and the right one is the middle eyeshadow by itself. I hope you can tell the difference in the picture. They're more noticeable in person but not by that much. I also noticed with the primer it's a lot less taupe-y color.

Lastly, it reminded me of Asian eyeshadow palettes especially Japanese. Their palettes are velvety smooth, silky, shimmery, and the color matches really well. They tend to have multi-colored effect especially certain palettes in Japan. Not only that, but they last all day long.

I did two looks with this palette, Metropolitan.

Look #1:

Look #2:

I liked/loved this palette so much I had to get another. I got Graffiti.
Here's how the palette looks like.
Here's a closer look of Graffiti. Again, most of the colors are shimmery except for the glitter.
Here's a swatch of Graffiti. It's on the gold-brown side.

Now my opinion on this palette... Like the palette from the top, it's smooth velvety soft. The primer definitely helps the shadows with the multi-colored effect, as well as, using less shadows for it to show. The only thing this one doesn't remind me of Japanese eyeshadow palettes at all. I'm not too sure why. It might be because this is more pigmented than the other one, Metropolitan. I tend to consider Asian eyeshadow palettes as shimmery, down-to-earth colors. Graffiti is more out there compared to Metropolitan. If I had to choose from the two, I like Metropolitan.

Here's my look with Graffiti:

* Revlon; brand I trust.
* Velvety smooth.
* Applies easily.
* With primer, you use less shadows and gives a multi-colored effect.
* Shimmery.
* Glitter on top by choice.
* Reminds me of Japanese eyeshadow palettes.
* Long lasting.

* Packaging of the eyeshadow colors; hard to get in the corners.
* A little powdery.

Would repurchase: Yes.

i was going to pass on these but i really like the colors. i don't mind the packaging too much, actually. i think they adapted the idea from the almay eyeshadows. they are the same company. ;)
