Mixed Veggies

First of all, Happy Easter everyone!!! :) I hope everyone got to eat an egg. I'm boiling some at the moment to give to my dad, myself, and of course one for Tobey... hehe~

I make this dish often when I want some mixed veggies. To be honest, I have no clue what you call it in Korean... lol~ If anyone knows, please tell me! :)

If you need some guidance with the ingredients, you can check my Korean Cooking 101. ;)

olive oil
chopped garlic
1 potato
1/2 onion
1 king oyster mushroom
1/2 broccoli
1 fish cake
pinch of black pepper
garlic salt
noodle soup or diluted soy sauce
sesame seeds

Step 1:

Grab a frying pan and put some oil. I use olive oil but it is up to you. Then toss in some chopped garlic and sliced up potato. Potato takes the longest to cook so make sure you cook this for 5-10 minutes before the next steps. Stir with a wooden spoon so it won't get stuck on the bottom!
While it's frying, I chop the onion. Then toss the onions in and stir.
While it's cooking, I chop my king oyster mushroom. Then toss that in and stir.
Then I chop the amount of broccoli I need and then clean it. Toss that in and stir.
Then I chop fish cakes and toss that in. Before I chop the fish cake, I run it in hot water for couple of minutes. Fish cakes have a lot of oil/grease and running hot water on them helps get rid of some. Cover the frying pan with a lid. Make sure to open the lid and stir with a wooden spoon so the veggies won't get stuck on the bottom!

Towards the end of the cooking, you add the condiments. I add a pinch of black pepper, couple pinch of garlic salt, and noodle soup (diluted soy sauce can work as well) until it is up to my taste.
Put the veggies on a plate and top it off with sesame seeds. Now you can eat with rice and kim-chi! :)

This past Friday I checked out Longs Drugs and ended up buying a few things. :X
The L'oreal HIP Jelly Balm were on clearance for 75% off. It was $2.25 each!... woah~ I ended up getting 3 to put into my collection. Now I have 5 out of 6... hehe~ This is really good for someone like me since I can't use MAC Lip Tints since I'm allergice to spf products *sigh*.

I also got one Revlon Beyond Natural lipgloss out of curiosity. It was on sale for 50% off. I got it for $4.

Here are the colors of the Jelly Balm for the people who are interested.

Delectable 320:

Savory 420:

Succulent 520:

Now I'm going to add the two I already had. Please ignore the used product... hehe~ :X

Plush 120:

Ripe 220:

Now for the pictures of all of them together:
I also did swatches for these on my hand.
L-R: Plush, Ripe, Delectable, Savory, and Succulent

The Jelly Balm are very sheer glosses with a tint of color. It is very good if you apply on top of a lipstick in my opinion. I know a lot of people don't like scooping it out with your fingers that's why I use lip pencil... hehe~

I got Revlon Beyond Naturals in Peach 110 hoping it will be a nice gloss over the Revlon Matte lipstick in Nude Attitude 001 (click here to see the post), but it wasn't... lol~ Now for the swatch.

Don't forget to enter my contest. The last day is Thursday night at 11:59 pm pacific time (click here to see the post)!

waaah you got those balms for REALLY cheap! congrats on a great find :)

So I was looking around widgets, and then looked in the forums. Apparently wordpress doesn't have the followers widget. Not that I really need it, seeing as I only have a few constants, but yeah, ppl were rallying for wordpress to get it soon! hopefully they do :)

re: mac brushes...yeah...well looks like after this one, I won't be buying anymore. Number 1 reason is that they are too costly...and I don't got that cash. And meh, there are other decent ones for cheaper prices :)

hope your easter long weekend has been a good one :)

That is an insane sale! I wish I can find HiP products for 75% off!

yeah...i tend to do that a lot as well. actually most of the people I read, are on my google reader. And then it becomes a hassle when I want to comment, cause I gotta click on the link (wish google reader would allow direct commenting from it)
maybe thats the mystery behind the comments??

anyway cause of this blog talk, I started reading up on some of the widgets that worpdress actually offers to bloggers...not very much, mind you...but its something I can work with :)

ohhh I love mixed veggies, looks yummy! Wow that was a really good deal you got on the HIP lippies, I thought about getting them but since their so sheer I don't think they'll show up on me.

please don't say quit! lol i had to deal with one blog leaving my life, I don't know if I can handle another ha...seriously.

Oh, another free shipping site?! Which one is it?
I'm actually holding off, cause I found out recently that it is sold at Missha and Etude stores in korea, so I have added it to my life of things to get my friend to buy me while she is there! lol
They are much cheaper...of course...and then it means I can get more korean stuff :P

OMG those jelly balms look good! I need to go pick some up for me sometime... I love drugstore products :)

ah~ that was the website I originally wanted to order from. But because of the only free shipping to the US, if I were to buy, I was going to buy from the other one~

What did I say that you don't know anymore! lol If it was applicable to Canadians, I think I would do it. Seems like their other colours are very lovely~ At least the swatches I've seen at soompi are very pretty. But then again, I've got a ton from the whole buy 2 get 1 from Sally's :X

lol i may be lucky that I got a friend going...but this is a first in like...3-4 years? The last time the same friend went! lol. Ideally it would be me over there :T

anyway im off to bed :) nites!
