Description from the package: Flawless beauty with our easy to use makeup blender.
Thoughts: When I received a surprise package, I wasn't to sure what was inside. Once I opened the package, I was most excited to try this blending sponge. For the past couple of years, I got into beauty sponges and haven't gone back to brushes.
Here's a closer look at the pointy end, right side of the picture.
Here's a closer look at the other end, the flat side.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's no noticeable scent while using. I just sniffed the product and I didn't notice anything. Most people might think there's no scent when it comes to beauty sponges. Some times you open the package and there's a strong scent. That's the reason why I mention this part. Secondly, I love the color! People who knows me well knows I love the color blue. It's my favorite color. Other than the color, I love how it has a mixture of a pointy end and a flat. Yes, a lot of beauty sponges have both ends but not all. Most of us use the flat end to blend the foundation, concealer, powder, and so on. At the same time, we need the pointy side to get the hard to reach places like under the eyes and around the nose. With that said, the beauty sponge isn't tough. It's on the soft side. It's squishy. I wasn't too sure if I like squishy sponges or tough. This is all personal preference. Third, it's easy to use. The direction says "lightly dampen sponge and squeeze out excess water." Since the sponge is soft, it soaks up water pretty quickly and increases the size in double. Even though I squeeze out the excess water, the size didn't decrease. I personally like the size it increases too. Since it's double in size, it's easier/faster to blend the foundation and concealer on the face. Several weeks ago, I got several samples of Fenty Beauty foundation. I've been using this foundation since I got the samples. The foundation sets really quick. I would work the foundation part at a time on the face. For example I would do the cheek, then move to the forehead, then next part of the face. If the sponge was small, I would have to work harder to blend on the face. This sponge being big I was able to blend the foundation before it set. It didn't take that much work. Also since the sponge is soft, I didn't feel the patting motion as I do with tough sponges. It was gentle on the skin. I personally like the softness. Again, it's personal preference. To end the blending, the pointy side came in handy. It helped blend the harder places like around the nose. Lastly, it did take a little bit more work to remove the foundation off the sponge. It might be because the foundation set. I need to test this theory with a foundation that doesn't set. With that said, the sponge didn't even rip a little with the toughness of my washing. I was pretty impressed. I'm so glad this came into my life!
