When I went to an outlet some time ago, I saw some Urban Decay products on sale. One of them were nail polishes. I purchased one for myself.
Product Review: Urban Decay Nail Color in Vice
Where to purchase: hard to find, it's limited-edition
Price: N/A for 9 mL/ 0.30 fl oz
Made in USA
Description on the package: It's not an Urban legend; UD polish is back. These hand-selected, ultra limited-edition nail colors feature super-rich pigments and gorgeous, multidimensional sparkle. From the 400-strand brush (which grabs on to color for a precise application) to our custom-designed cap topped with a badass skull, it's worth the wait.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: When I saw the nail polishes, I had to grab one. I've always been curious about Urban Decay polishes.
Here's a closer look at the color and it's very true!
Here's a closer look at the brush. Compared to my favorite OPI brush, the width is on the thin side. The length, on the other hand, is the same.
Here's a closer look at the top with the skull. It's extremely unique and fitting for the brand.
I applied OPI Nail Envy in Original, Formula X For Sephora Base Coat, 2 coats of Urban Decay in Vice, and topped it off with CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat.
Now for my overall opinion... First of all, the consistency is in-between medium to thick. With each usage, it gets thicker. In my opinion, it makes it harder to paint the nails carefully. I also have to paint quickly before it gets clumpy. That's probably why it's not smooth around the cuticles. Then again, I'm not the best when it comes to painting my nails. With that said, it went on smoothly and there was no streaking and bubbles. Secondly, I'm glad the brush was thin. I usually don't like thin brushes but with the thicker consistency, it makes it easier to paint. Each time I brushed my nails, there was a huge glob of polish. If the brush was thick, it would probably spread to the skin. For that reason, the thin brush came in handy. Third, it's a great fall/winter color. I got a lot of compliments on this color. It looks like there's a lot of sparkles from the bottle, but it's not noticeable. I only notice the sparkles when I'm outside in the sun. Lastly, it lasted 5 days before I noticed slight chipping on the tip. It's mostly on the side of the tips and it's not that noticeable unless you examine it carefully.
Pros:
* Cute packaging; skull on the top.
* Variety of colors.
* Goes on smoothly.
* There's no streaking and bubbles.
* Thin brush; easier for the medium to thick consistency.
* Gorgeous color!
* Great for fall/winter.
* Lasted 5 days before slighting chipping.
Cons:
* Hard to find.
* Medium to thick consistency; can be gloppy.
Would repurchase: Maybe.
