I am fortunate to work with Vivant Skin Care. If you don't know about Vivant Skin Care,

"Vivant Skin Care is from the scientist who made skin look healthier...James E. Fulton M.D. PhD, the researcher, cosmetic surgeon and dermatologist who developed vitamin A acid, later known as Retin A."

I got this from the press kit. They said it better than I ever could! For this post, I will review their wash.

Product Review: Vivant Skin Care Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 Wash

Where to purchase: online at vivantskincare.com
Price: $31 for 4 fl oz/ 118.3 mL

Made in USA

Description from the press kit:
The Benefits of Vivant Skin Care Mandelic 3-in-1 Wash:
This powerful yet gentle antioxidant wash has Mandelic derived from almonds, green tea extract, grape seed, kiwi fruit and honey extracts. Mandelic is ideal for adult acne because of it's anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties. On blotchy skin it "lifts" skin discolorations and dark spots, while also having the beneficial side effect of rejuvenating fine lines by helping to generate new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

A power yet gentler form of Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Mandelic is also ideal for treating sensitive Black, Hispanic, and Asian skin that becomes irritated by harsh benzoyl peroxide products.

Helps ingrown hairs and can also be used as a shampoo on scalp to control dandruff and acne.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: The thing that got my attention was that it helps ingrown hairs. No matter how much I exfoliate and apply lotion, I always have ingrown hairs on my legs. If you know any method to get rid of it, please tell me! For that reason, I was excited to try this product.
Here's the opening. It's extremely travel-friendly and sanitary safe.
Here's a swatch of the wash on a cotton pad.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, it has a light floral scent. It's so minimal that you hardly notice it while washing your face and body. Secondly, the consistency is in-between thin to medium. With that said, it's not the most foamy/soapy product but it does build some minimal foam. It's great for quick washes like my face. For bigger areas like my legs, it's alright. I had to get more product to latter and feel clean. Third and to be fair with this review, I actually used it on my face first. Going into this product, I had some worries. Since I have dry skin, I tend to avoid products that targets acne/ blemishes. They tend to dry out my skin. I used it couple of times on my face, and I noticed some tightness and dryness especially around my cheek area. I didn't want my face to get worst and for that reason, I decided to move onto my legs. If you do have oily/ acne-prone skin, I can see this product being really good. For someone like me who only gets zits during her time of the month, it's alright. On my legs, it's another story. I have a lot of small bumps and ingrown hairs. I've tried so many different methods and nothing has helped. I can't really say if it's helping since I haven't been using it for that long. The days I do use it I noticed an improvements on the bumps, as well as, my skin feels smoother. I do have to moisturize after I shower or else it's dry.

Pros:
* Versatile product; face and body.
* Travel-friendly.
* Sanitary safe.
* Light, floral scent.
* Thin to medium consistency.
* Great for oily/acne-prone skin.
* Improves ingrown hairs.
* Help with bumps.

Cons:
* Cannot find in stores.
* Not so great for dry skin individuals.

Would repurchase: Maybe.
Rating:  4/5 Tobey's Paws

I really like mandelic acid. I have a whole complement - wash, toner, and peel, and it's really made a difference on my skin!

Ooooh man, that is such a cute cotton pad! The ones here are square-ish or perhaps I haven't been looking properly?

I have both dry and sensitive skin, so I don't think this would work for me.

It makes my skin smoother (I'm oily and bumpy) and my brown melasma patches have faded to red (easier to cover up with makeup). I know a lot of people don't actually peel with mandelic acid, but I really do!

Hrmmm~ Now I'm wondering if peeling products have mandelic acid. I need to look into this. I'm glad it's working for you! :)
