End of last month, May 2014, I went to Generation Beauty with my friend/blogger Beautzy. It was pretty packed but I had a great time. We received a lot of goodies.

I took this picture from my Instagram. I already reviewed Benefit They're Real! Mascara (middle). There were two lines going for bareMinerals, one for their newest foundation and another for their lipstick/lipgloss. For this post, I will review the lipstick on the right.

Thoughts: I knew I wanted a lipstick, but the question was what would fit with my new hair color. If you haven't read my post, you can read my experience of getting a Hair Color at Nelson j Salon from a celebrity colorist. Thankfully, the makeup artist recommend a lipstick color. I ended up getting that one.
Here's a closer picture of the lipstick. The packaging is pretty interesting. You click on the silver button down and the lipstick comes out.
Here's a closer look at the lipstick and it's very true to color. They describe the color as "soft neutral pink."
Here's a swatch of the color on my hand.
Here's how the lipstick looks on my lip.
Here's an overall look. It's the same picture from Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes. If you haven't heard of this mascara, you need to read it. It's amazing and probably the best out there!

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I love the packaging. It's sturdy and extremely well-made. I also like the silver button. It's just unique and doesn't fit with normal lipsticks. Secondly, it has a faint smell. There's two different scents going on at the same time. I can't distinguish the first scent but I do slightly smell mint. Even though I smell mint, it doesn't have the tingling sensation. Thank goodness because I'm not a fan. Third, the consistency is extremely creamy and does not tug on your lips. It goes on smoothly but I can see it express the lines on your lips, as well as, dryness. With that said, this lipstick will hydrate and improve the texture of your lips with each usage. It won't be as quick as a lip balm, but it'll help hydrate the lips overtime. Since I have extremely dry lips, I tend to get dryness in the center of my lips or the white residue. I did not with this lipstick. My lips did not feel dry. Fourth I noticed when I apply this lipstick, it has a slight brown to it. With time, it turns pinker on me. It's a gorgeous color and I think it fits me well. Lastly, the color lasted until I ate or drank.

Pros:
* Comes in a varieties of color.
* Cute, sturdy packaging.
* Travel-friendly.
* Faint smell.
* Creamy consistency.
* Does not tug on your lips.
* Not sticky.
* Hydrates your lip overtime.
* Did not dry my lips.
* No white residue.
* Lasts until you eat or drink.

Cons:
* Initially, will show the dryness and lines on your lip.
* Color changes within minutes.

Would repurchase: Yes.
Rating:  4.5/5 Tobey's Paws

What a beautiful neutral lipstick :) This is the kind of colour that I would wear ALL the time, since I'm really not fond of the too nude lips!

I think that shade looks so gorgeous with your complexion and hair Ahleessa! I noticed you wear eyeliner on your top lid and not bottom. I do the same. If I apply eyeliner under my eye, it seems to be too much or weighs my eyes down. Do you find it does the same to you?
