Tofu Stew (soon-dubu)

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile! I've been really stressed out and it has affected my body *sigh*. Anyways, I'm posting another recipe that I had piled up.

If you need some guidance with the ingredients, you can check my Korean Cooking 101. ;)

Ingredients:
2 tbsp. red pepper powder
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
chopped garlic
1 tbsp. anchovy broth, beef broth, or water
water
5 anchovies
1 dried seaweed/kelp
seafood mixture
beef
1 package of soft tofu
1/8 tsp. sesame oil
1 egg
chopped green onion

Step 1:
In a small bowl, add the ingredients. You need red pepper powder, soy sauce, salt, garlic, and anchovy broth or water is just fine. Mix it and put it in the refrigerator. You can use it in 3 days and it's good for 2 weeks.

Step 2:
In a pot, make anchovy broth. You will need water, anchovies, and dried seaweed/kelp. Cook it for 15-20 minutes.
Then take out the anchovies and kelp (I use this later). Add the red pepper powder mixture we made in step 1.
Then add the seafood mixture and beef. I didn't add beef since it's not the most healthiest for my father. You can add anything else you want like oysters, mussels, etc...
After 10 minutes of cooking the seafood, add the soft tofu.
I used this, but you can use any soft tofu.
Towards the end of cooking, I added sesame oil and an egg. I cooked it for 5 more minutes then I topped it off with green onions and chopped up kelp I used for the broth. Now you can eat with rice and kim-chi! :)

There are websites that sell luxury products for cheap (30-50% off) during a certain time period. They sell from fashion (clothes, shoes), accessories (jewelries, bags), and to cosmetics. For example, they're selling Lancome products and Marc Jacob sunglasses at Hautelook at the moment.

Some of websites I know are (alphabet order)...
Gilt Groupe
Hautelook
Ideeli
Regent's Secret/Billion Dollar Babes
Rue La La

If you like an invite to any of these, please comment with your e-mail address, as well as, which sites you would like an invite to!!! :)

I'm going to end my post with an item I bought last week with my friend. For anyone in Burbank, there's a store in the mall that sells Japanese products. I bought this facial sponge cleaner.
I haven't tried it out yet, but I definitely will soon... hehe~

Yum! Looks absolutely delish even when I'm not fond of tofu

What? You don't need lip concealers! Your lip colour is perfect!

I knew you'd understand the song choice behind #3 LOL! Thanks again for sending it to me =D

Oh yeah, did you manage to get hold of your makeup buddy? Has her brother left for Japan?

End of September? That's a long wait!!! I know you'll be counting down the days til he goes back to south Cali hehee...

So which palettes did you decide on?

Thanks for joining my giveaway, Aly!

You never told me your real name! Or did you? *blinks*

Talking of blinking, have you watched Big Bang’s parody of Beethoven Virus? Seung Ri and Dae Sung were both blinking in it hahaha

Even I myself get jealous when I post those inaccessible Asian products LOL

Tell him to stalk drugstores like Matsumoto Kiyoshi (he can’t miss the bright yellow sign!). Is your makeup buddy getting anything?

Nah, it’s okay! =D I am very poor right now too hahaha. I must control myself from getting MQ’s BR365!! Or even a MM palette! My birthday’s on 25th July =D I expect a BIG present next year ahaha (joking!!!) ;p

Bijin Blair said...

Hmmm, I don't know why I started calling you Aly actually. Maybe it's because Ahly doesn't look as good as Aly? hahaha

Seung Ri and Dae Sung are the 'girls' in Beethoven Virus hahaha. I saw DS as a girl in their HYD/BBF parody and boy was I horrified hahaha! I think GD makes the best looking girl. Have you noticed that TOP always plays the male lead?

Korean products are at least 2X more here. It makes me mad! I don't wanna purchase these goodies for so much more (cheapo at heart coming out =D) What, they are 3X more in the US? urghhh!

I found a Malaysian site selling Kate cosmetics for a lower price than retail. I don't know if they ship to the US but here's the site in case you're curious =D

Bijin Blair said...

Oooh, try asking them for a quote... It might be lesser than your expectations hahaha (or it might be more ;p)

$12+ for an eyeshadow single from VOV is tooo much! You can almost buy a MAC at that price right?

So, have you seen the Beethoven Virus parody? Oooh, what are your thoughts on the performance finale?

Bijin Blair said...

Thanks for the song! I’m listening to it right now =D Got a bit of a shock when I heard elephants trumpeting in the beginning though hahaha

Ahhh, you are right! VOV’s palette didn’t really impress me =( I’ve never thought about buying eyeshadow singles though! I’m a palette girl - economical and fuss free.

Can you tell me more about the singles from VOV and the shades that you bought? I might be able to access them when I do a bit of shopping next week =D I remember going to a shop and they sold VOV stuff but they didn’t attract me at that time =(

Bijin Blair said...

There’s a little boy who raps at the end – the song is very catchy and upbeat, me likey! This song reminds me of the songs from Aqua. And even the setting in the video is slightly reminiscent of Aqua’s Dr Jones =D

I like the darker shades in the palette though, they are pigmented enough for my tastes. The lighter ones are really mehhh. I didn’t even search around for reviews before buying the palette lol (served me right that half of it sort of sucks)

Ohhh, thank you!!! I can’t wait for your e-mail! Do you want me to help you purchase the singles when I go shopping next week? BUT, I must warn you that I don’t know if they even stock the singles in that teeny weeny shop. I remember the selection being very dingy but it won’t hurt to take a look =D

I'm eying your tofu picture hungrily now! Dang, supper is going to make me fat!

Bijin Blair said...

Your swatches are fabulous, thanks so much Aly! The greens and purples are indeed pretty! Oh dear, I want so many things, but I have too little money hahaha.

It looks great BUT I might want to save my pennies. There’s a promotion going on now, if you spend more than US$ 17 on products from Kate, you can get a free lippie! And I wannnnnnt that free lippie hehehee

I went shopping today and I’m quite satisfied with my mini haul but I want moreeeee. You have e/s from Kate right? What do you think of them?

I'm getting flabbier now. I need to exercise to get rid of my flabs and tummy. TMI? lol
