Butterfly Hairpin

Born Pretty Store had tons of gorgeous hair accessories. I was fortunate to receive one. It was a tough decision but I decided to get the Crystal Rhinestone Butterfly Hairpin Clip Wedding Bridal.
Product Review: Crystal Rhinestone Butterfly Hairpin Clip Wedding Bridal

Where to purchase:
Price: $3.12

Description from the website:
Material: Alloy, Rhinestone
Butterfly Diameter: 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm
Thoughts: In all honesty, I was not too sure what to expect. When it comes to hair accessories, I am pretty picky. I look at the overall quality. If they have crystals, I look at the placement. If they're glued on, I look how sturdy it is and so on.
Let me tell you I was pretty impressed when I received the hairpin! The crystals are extremely shiny. I have seen dull crystals in the past. I'm also impressed the prongs are holding the crystals on all four sides, as well as, there aren't any sticky out. When I rub my finger on the crystals, they're all evenly layered. The crystals are really well put together and sturdy!
The back of the butterfly is shiny. There's also no dull stain.
The clip is sturdy enough for a gentle hand. If you bend really hard, it will bend. I don't think it will break.
Initially, I was worried if the clip would open up wider if it keeps going up and down the ball. Now that I've been wearing this for some time, I know it will not.
Here's how the hairpin looks on my hair.

I'm pretty impressed. I wouldn't say I'm blown out impressed, but it's up there. It looks gorgeous on the hair. The only thing I noticed is that after hours it will fall down my straight hair. If you have curly or wavy hair, you do not have to worry. For someone with extremely straight hair that is resistant to curls, it falls down. It doesn't happen quickly but after 30 minutes, I could feel the hairpin on another part of my head. Overall, I have to say I'm happy! :)

* Great price.
* Shiny crystals.
* Strong, sturdy prongs.
* One coated piece.
* Great for curly and wavy hairs.
* All occasion hair piece including wedding.

* Cannot see in person before ordering.
* Will fall down for straight hair.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Las Vegas and Victoria's Secret Winner

I know this is late, but I really do hope everyone had a great Christmas! I hope it was surrounded by love ones. :)

The reason why I haven't posted in awhile is because I decided to take my father to Vegas. I wanted to show him that I appreciate everything he has done for me. He's been a great support system, as well as, the perfect father for me!
We stayed at Stratosphere for three days and two nights.
We even went to the tower. It's the first time for me ever! In all honesty, I was scared to try any of the rides, as well as, jumping off the tower. I saw two brave people jump off. I give them so much credit! I took a picture of the main strip from the tower.
The first night there we went to MGM and watched David Copperfield, famous illusionist. We had a great seat and his tricks were amazing. I got an autographed picture because I was part of audience participation.

The next day I went to the Las Vegas Premium Outlets, North. I did not know Las Vegas had two outlets, North and South. I will have to check out South the next time I go to Vegas. If you been to both outlets, which is better?
At the CCO I got MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow in Earthly. I believe the collection came out in the summer, but I could be wrong.
At the other cosmetic store (cannot remember the exact name), I got Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow Quad Smooth Hold in Stunning Soiree. It's not my typical colors which worries me. I hope I can make this work!

I wish I took more pictures but overall, I had a good time!

Now for the winner of Victoria's Secret Luminous Mineral Blush Duo in Swoon...

Congratulation to Lulu! :)

Blinc Eyeliner

Please don't forget to enter Victoria's Secret Blush Giveaway. It ends December 22, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

In July, I was fortunate to receive Beauty Box 5. Beauty Box 5 is a beauty sampling subscription that comes to your door every month.
This was my July 2012 Beauty Box 5. You can check out my post to see what I received and what I thought about this subscription. For this post, I am going to review the Blinc Eyeliner.
Product Review: Blinc Eyeliner Brush It On... Slide It Off! in Black

Where to purchase: Sephora stores,, and
Price: $26 for 0.21 oz/ 6 g

Description on the back: Blinc's Eyeliner is the original eyeliner invented to form a water-resistant "layer of color" that contours your eyes. Since Blinc is not a cosmetic paint like conventional eyeliners, it cannot fade, smudge, run or flake, even if you cry or rub your eyes.

The intense layer of color creates a dramatic look that lasts all day. Only when you are ready for removal, the layer of color will effortlessly slide off your skin into your hand without the use of a harsh makeup remover.

Ideal for those with sensitive eyes, contact lens wearers, performers and active people in search of an eyeliner whose look, hold and ease of removal is without compromise.
Thoughts: The first time I heard about this brand was from a pastor from my church. She mentioned it's the only eyeliner brand she uses and own every color. Other than that, I have never heard of this brand. When I saw the sample, 0.02 oz/ 0.7 g, I was pretty excited and curious to know why the pastor loves this brand.
The packaging of the sample did not blow me away. It just looks cheap.
The real packaging looks better. I actually like it.
Here's a picture of the brush. It's really thin and sturdy. It glides easily on the eyes.
A swatch of the eyeliner.
Here's how the eyeliner looks on me.

My overall opinion... I actually liked it but I wouldn't say it's the best. I like that it's easy to apply on the eyes, does not smudge, and easy to take off. I also like the thin, sturdy brush. The thing I don't like is small, but I don't like shiny eyeliners. It's just my personal taste. I tend to go for matte eyeliners. That's probably why I like cream/gel eyeliners. Other than that, this is a great eyeliner!

* Thin, sturdy brush.
* No makeup remover required.
* Applies easily on the skin.
* Does not smudge.

* Does not have a lot of varieties of colors; only have black, brown, and gray.
* Shiny eyeliner.

Would repurchase: Maybe.

Stila Warehouse Sale Winter 2012 Haul

Please don't forget to enter Victoria's Secret Blush Giveaway. It ends December 22, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

I met up with a friend this morning, December 15, for the Stila Warehouse Sale. From my experience Stila has a warehouse sale twice a year, but I could be wrong. The last time I went was this past August. You can read the post to see what I hauled. Now for my haul...
I didn't get as much as last time, but it's all worth it! Some of these are gifts. I will only post the ones I got for myself.
Stila All Over Shimmer in #3, gold shimmer. I originally was going to the pink shimmer until I talked with the makeup artist. She thought the gold shimmer will look best with my yellow tone. She convinced my friend and me.
Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Sequins.
Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Pearl. The product is still available, but the color is discontinued or at least I cannot find it on the website. I will not review this product unless you want me to.
Stila Long Wear Lip Color in Flushed. I really liked the color when I swatch it, but it doesn't look too good on me. :/ I will make it work.
Stila 4 Piece Brush Set in #7 crease brush, #4 eye liner brush, #2 small concealer brush, and #11 large concealer brush. I originally was not going to get this, but it was such a good deal I could not refuse.

I'm so proud of myself that I held back which is amazing in itself! If you're in Los Angeles tomorrow, the Stila Warehouse sale is still going on. You should check it out. It's very worth it! :)

JustFab After Glow Clutch and Stila Blush

Please don't forget to enter Victoria's Secret Blush Giveaway. It ends December 22, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

I bought a clutch from JustFab in October. I know it's late, but better late than never or at least that's what I say. ;) This is my first and only purpose so far from this website. When I saw this clutch, I just fell in love with it. It reminded me of clutches from Alexander McQueen. Even though I was drawn to the bag, I was skeptical. I searched online for reviews other than from the website and I could not find anything at the time. For that reason, I want to post my thoughts about this bag for anyone who is interested.
I got the clutch bag in black and it's called After Glow.
Here's a close-up of the front. The bag comes in two colors, black and ivory. The front has gold studs, as well as, a skull with crystal eyes to open and close the clutch.
The back of the bag doesn't have gold studs. It's just a plain quilted-style.
Bottom of the bag.
Inside the bag. It's not made of cloth, but more like imitation suede. I don't think it's real suede. It's made in China or at least that's what the tag says. ;)
Now for my favorite part of this clutch... I love that it comes with a chain attachment you can put inside so you can carry it as a clutch with your hand.
If you don't want to carry it with your hand, you can put the attachment on the outside as a purse.
It comes with two gold chains. A small one to carry with your hand/wrist and a long one as a purse around your shoulder/body.

My overall opinion I love this clutch! It's great to carry when you don't want to carry much especially a night out. I also love how versatile this bag is. You can carry it with your hand, wrist, or shoulder. You can carry as a clutch or a purse. It is all up to the individual and I love that the designer gives us the option do all that. I highly recommend this product, and the reviews on the website is pretty accurate. I recommend reading the reviews before buying anything on the website.

During my last Stila Warehouse sale, I bought a blush that a reader/blogger recommended to see swatches of. I never got around to it until now. Sorry! :X
Here's the blush, Love at First Blush. It's such a gorgeous name for a gorgeous looking blush.
Here's a close-up of the blush. It has three different colored hearts from light to brighter pink. The light and the brightest has sparkles, whereas, the middle has none.
The swatches of the blush from lightest pink to brightest.
Here's how the blush looks on me. It's a gorgeous pink blush depending on the amount of pinks you use you can make it light to bright. I like that it has enough space that you can choose the colors you want to use or you can use all of them combined.
If you're in Los Angeles this coming weekend December 15 & 16, Stila will have another Warehouse sale for this year. I thought I would pass this along. :)
