OPI Nail Polishes

This is another post that is late... lol~ :X End of last year, I bought quite a few OPI nail polishes, mini and regular size. I bought them all over the place, but mostly at Ulta.
I bought this mini-size collection in Tiny Tinsels. It comes in three glittery colors and one RapiDry Topcoat.
The first glittery color is Berried in Gifts.
The second color is Amethyst Twist.
The third is Silver Belles.

I bought another mini-size collection in Senoritas. It comes with three solid colors, no glitters or anything, and one RapiDry Topcoat.
The first color is Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees. I wore this color out and fell in love with it! If you don't like dark black nail polishes, this one is for you. It's a dark gray color but my friend thought it looked black... hehe~
The second color is No Spain No Gain.
The third color is Pink Flamenco.

They both, mini-size collection, carry RapiDry Topcoat. I will do a quick review on this topcoat since I'm using it right now... hehe~
Product Review: RapiDry Topcoat

Where can you purchase this: any stores that sell nail polishes
Price:
not too sure

Made in USA

Information on the front: Quick drying protection for your nails

My thoughts: I think I've been spoiled by Seche Vite topcoat!... lol~ This doesn't dry out that quickly as it says, as well as, I'm very impatient waiting for it to dry my nails. It takes about 5-10 minutes after you apply the topcoat for the nails to dry *sigh*. It doesn't also put the shine on my nails as Seche Vite does. :/

Pros:
* It's a brand I trust.
* It protects a bit.

Cons:
* Doesn't dry that quickly.
* Doesn't put a shine on the nails.
* Doesn't protect when it's wet.

Would I buy this again? Nope!

Other than the mini-size collection, I bought two full size nail polishes from OPI.
This one is called Merry Midnight. It's such a gorgeous color!!!
The last OPI I'm going to mention is called Shim-Merry Chic. Love it!!! :)
I'm wearing this at the moment (the day I wrote this post). Today, I got a compliment from a stranger about my nail color... wheee~ She wanted to know the name and brand... hehe~

With all these OPI nail polishes, I bought one Orly nail polish... lol~ It feels lonely with these OPI... hehe~
It's called Green with Envy. It'll be a great spring/summer color or at least I think so... hehe~

I'm going to end this post with an earring I bought. I haven't bought one in such a long time. I think it's cute because it's so unique!... hehe~ This student I tutor, a second grader, thought it's ugly. The worst part is she thinks it looks worst on me than by itself... eek~ :/ LOL~
What do you think?

Merry Midnight seems like such a pretty color :D Too bad that fast dry top coat doesn't work - I hear that Seche Vite (sp?) has a nice one that works really well - and fairly inexpensive too. I need to pick that up b/c I'm not patient person at all!

BTW - love the earrings. I want to get some F21 jewelery. There's one that I saw that looks like an owl. Really neat.

yay! a nail polish swatch post. i love it! :D the colors are so pretty. my favorites are amethyst twist and silver belles from the tiny tinsels collection. from the senoritas one, i love suzi skis in the pyrenees. that shade of dark gray is so cool. it looks like a very smokey color. kinda like smokey eyes. hehe... shim-merry chic is very pretty too. your nails look fab in them. :D now you're the one that has beautifully shaped nails. :)

oh yeah, thanks for the heads-up about the topcoat. i was thinking of getting it when i went to trade secret. the lady told me they were out. it's a good thing i never got the chance to buy them then. i think they're about $8 and that sure would be pricey for a topcoat that does not dry fast. i'll stick with my sally hansen ones instead. hehe... or maybe i should try the essie ones. i dunno... hehe...

i like your fish earrings. i think they're cute. hmm... i guess the second grader you tutor probably must not be a big fan of fish. i like them though. they are unique too. :)

I am glad my bestie gave me OPI mini as gift, the colors are great and the quality as well, but what I hate? I finish up the entire mini bottle so fast! i can't seem to keep track :)

Woot! OPI galore!!! Silver Belles and Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees are so pretty!!! Are these mini collections pricey?

Regarding your question on Japanese cosmetics, I think they are the cheapest in Japan, followed by Gmarket and then China.

actually i think nordstroms sells them for more to make profit. i'm not sure though. because online it's also 27$ and i thought, maybe mac upped their priced. but i went to mac's website and they didn't. i was really surprised because i love nordstroms but i don't want to be paying extra money for something i can get cheaper! i got a mac msf natural skinfinish in medium. im actually going to put picture of the prices on the post xD and i got those tips from a class i've been taking about health but i've just kind of edited them to fit my own needs :P

You have a great nail polish collection Alyssa! Thank you for the pretty swatches. Thanks for the review on the bad OPI rapid dry coat, I'll be sure to avoid it. I'm still gawking at Merry Midnight lol.

I think your fish bone earrings are really cool and chic.

Looking forward to tomorrow! :)

Hang: I went to your blog hoping your comment box is enabled but I see it's still not. For that reason, I'm responding here. I hope you see it though!... hehe~

Merry Midnight is a gorgeous color. I love it too! :)

Hi Ahlessa! RYC: Well, to be honest I think the difference between the Shu Uemura and Shiseido curlers is really subtle, but I don't think there's a definitive answer as to which one's better. I prefer the Shiseido one because of the shape of my eyes (really round, almond-shaped),as it manages to curl more lashes than the shu, for me. But I think people with bigger, more caucasian eyes probably will love the shu uemura more. That's just my theory anyway xD

i'm gonna look for seche vite. where do they carry it? it would be nice to have a fast drying topcoat. thanks to you and all the rest of the gals, i'm discovering a whole bunch of new and cool products. :)

trade secret is a beauty supply store/salon in the mall in my area. i don't know if it's all over san diego or even nationwide, maybe. i see mainly nail and hair stuff. not so much makeup though. i know they carry a lot of essie and OPI. it's quite a small store.

you're welcome about the earring compliment. they are adorable. :)

thanks for the suggestion of seche vite. :) oh yeah, sally's would be a good place to look. i need to find a sally's near me though. i'm gonna ask my friend. she might know where it is. :) i'm going to check if trade secret might have it too. i'm not sure though. it would be nice if they carried it. it's only a few doors away from work. hehehe... it's always fun to try out new products. :)

yay. it's friday again. hope you have a fun one. take care. :)

I love how they come in mini sets, I think I would get more use out of those than the full sized ones because some of them I don't see finishing anytime soon. Thanks for all of the swatches too :) xx
